27/11/2013 12:19 | Christmas coming early! :-) | skinwalker
27/11/2013 10:32 | This should soon be around 200. That's if you want to see the chart as a kind of inverse head and shoulders. If however you can see it as a cup and handle, the likely target is iro 250. | bamboo2
27/11/2013 10:21 | Looks like we're off to the races again. | broadwood
25/11/2013 16:01 | blimey... did I say bubbling along nicely?! | skinwalker
25/11/2013 15:03 | Tipped in MoneyWeek over the weekend as a way into Oxford Nanopore (20.3% stake) | chestercopperpot1
25/11/2013 13:32 | Read a report earlier on today about technology areas in the UK having better transport, communications links ( a la Silicon Valley). Can't find it now but this may have some bearing on today's sharp rise. | broadwood

25/11/2013 08:43 | ...bubbling away nicely here at the moment :-) | skinwalker
22/11/2013 21:08 | Bamboo this is a great long term stock, I have held and added since late 2011. If you look at the notifyable owners Niel Woodford of Invesco has built a 29% holding & Lansdowne partners have a similar sized holding (in fact they increased holding by 40% a few months back. These guys are pretty switched on, infact 80% of the shares are held by 5or6 institutions. One day it will fly imo. A lot of the share price premium is based on the huge potential at Oxford Nanopore which the only way to get exposure is through IP Group. | steptoe57
22/11/2013 19:45 | Steptoe, Yes it's nearly 100% premium. So that goes some way to explaining the sp's 'delayed' reaction to ipo's constituents share price increases. To some extent, recent increases in TRX and others are already 'priced-in'. The chart here looks very positive and could in theory go to around 200. | bamboo2
22/11/2013 19:03 | Yes Bamboo at the time of the IMS the nett assets we equal to 83p per share, in fact this closer to 100% at current share price | steptoe57
22/11/2013 17:00 | Hi Praipus and Steptoe, thanks for the replies. So we are effectively trading at a premium of approx. 50%? [based on figs in the IMS] | bamboo2
22/11/2013 16:42 | Mkt Cap is calculated from the share price x number of shares issued company. NAV ( nett asset value) is calculated by adding up the value of all the individual assets held. As Ip group is basically a funding company the NAV is the sum of all the underlying investments added together. The NAV can therefore be at a Premium or Discount of the holding companies Mkt cap | steptoe57

22/11/2013 16:32 | Hi all, genuine question, can anyone explain the difference between the Mkt Cap and the NAV? Are there other investments outside the main IPO group? | bamboo2
22/11/2013 09:32 | Good........as it seems to get to 150+ and then slip back. I am looking for a 10%+ rise if it breaks 160p. | anley
22/11/2013 09:23 | This looks ready to crack the 160 historical resistance. Tissue regenix share price also been doing well recently. | bamboo2
21/11/2013 13:51 | AGM now up 64.35%. May it long continue for those who invested in it and IPO !! | pka3
21/11/2013 11:16 | Thanks Anley. AGM now up 30.79%. Will it continue ? Definitely worth keeping an eye on it. | pka3
21/11/2013 10:30 | PKA3....thank you for your post. Graphene is expensive to produce and once this barrier has been broken then who knows what will happen. We should all keep an eye open on this company. | anley
21/11/2013 10:18 | NT in AGM. Shares in AGM up 9.49%. If Graphene can do what some scientists believe it can then very good for IPO long term. "Graphene has unmatched capabilities in both electronic and material/mechanical capacities. For example, it has the ability to convert almost every photon that it absorbs into direct current, meaning theoretically it could be used to make the holy grail of solar cells one that is 100% efficient. This unmatched conductivity also means it could greatly improve energy storage and transmission, meaning everything from EVs (batteries and super-capacitors, etc.) to large-scale grid storage to transmission efficiencies of power and optical communications, and other infrastructure components may become so much better as to be disruptive to existing approaches to all these things. Graphene's ability to be formed into nanowires means it may provide the smallest and most size and speed efficient circuitry for electronics and LEDs to date, by far. Graphene is the strongest material ever measured, ~200x stronger than steel, making it extremely light and resilient, offering the possibility of making many things we use, from vehicle chassis to airframes both lighter and more durable, like carbon fiber did decades before. At one molecule thick, it is also transparent, meaning it offers possibilities in touch screens and displays and means that windows may become PV modules in time." | pka3
20/11/2013 11:33 | Thanks CANALET3........it does seem that we could be looking at a share up lift of some 10/15% in the near term which is what I thought may happen due to the portfolio activity. There may be something else inside the portfolio which will prompt this action and the other point is I like the fact that big institutions such as Henderson have helped finance Actual Experience....see press comment above. | anley
20/11/2013 08:25 | APG shot up to 194 | canalet3 |
