Au contraire mon ami, there is a good potential growth story here. Unfortunately the stock is overvalued by £200m atm.

Scrutable, I have account with City Index. They work on a similar 80%, but they will sell you out if you hit that. They are still offering IOF longs but do require 40% rather than the 20% that IG were offering.

Selling you out without notice or without a clear set of rules seems a bit wild west to me. I like to be sure and also like to maximise leverage within the bounds.

Boggle re dividends: impo will not happen in 2013 during the 'surge' to I06 but in 2014 there will be so much cash flowing in from iodine and from several other possible sources that there will be no realistic alternative to handing cash back: as noli says dividends are the preferred option.

Agreed, i still have much number crunching to do, however i thought they were debt free, low opex/capex with serious growth prospects. (Vectorvest rate them as very undervalued). I assumed the board would reach that point relatively quickly and reward themselves for all their hard work. I concur though that profits derived from expansion is best used in support of that growth.

Scruts, you make me feel a little guilty now, managed to get another 5000 out of IG earlier and was wondering where it came from....

Bogg1e, ignore the fol de rol, I'm a troll, nothing good about this company. He has never been in the position of running a business and absolutely no idea regarding accounting systems... by his own admission.

It sounds as if you have anyway.

Look Bogg1e, why would they even dream of paying a div when they are not even profitable yet? You need cash to grow the business ... dividends come when you're maturing, ie the cash can't be put to propel fast growth so is best paid as dividends.

Scruts, no disguise. If you're ever in west London your welcome to come round for dinner. You bring the Chianti, I already have the fava beans.
p.s. if coming by tube don't buy a return.

Best wishes - Mike

benny hanna,

I've just sent a test mail to ir@iofina.com and it went through okay.

Netley, thanks but im afraid i still don't know enough about the companies history only an approximate idea of future revenues and its derisked status. The tdwaterhouse broker report showed them with 0 debt. I have a lot of reading to do, but thanks for your thoughts on the divi.

SCRUT knows the risks, when he gets burnt? Tough.

No chance of a dividend here until sustainable profit growth is proven over many years. You need capital to grow, not to pay dividends. You have just borrowed $15m. Think.

Investor relations question ? Iofina's website shows questions to them should be addressed to ir@iofina.com but my e-mail program does not recognize that as a valid e-mail address. Can anyone direct me to the proper address?

Uriney
sailing close to the wind and occasionally keeling over has still helped to increase my holdings by more than if I had opted to operate with enough surplus margins to avoid the occasional spill. Over 18 months I had managed to multiply a personal loan by approx x20 times - since last week's crunch unfortunately now x15!

Luckily I sleep as though anaesthetised.

Generally I do what I do ...wittingly!

Scrutable, the best I've found for IOF is City Index, working on 40% and will allow you down to 80% if underwater.

I have never had any problems buying IOF SB's with them, but had with others.

Jeff (PI meeting last month) did say that they favoured div's rather than buy back. Reason: as he said: we are not on 'rock star' salaries (which is very true). As for when, I can only guess.
Best wishes - Mike

Scrut don't take this the wrong way but ig are fairly clear about requiring you to fund your account once your margin requirement is breached. If you are sailing so close to it I would suggest you need to be watching all the time. Sorry to hear they closed you out, but presumably you had time to get back in before they bounced a little?J.

Bogg1e, welcome to the bb, they have been mentioned to others so i will let the others mention them. Nothing has been mentioned via rns, however the growth thats on its way should give us all a nice dividend.

Sorry newbie question. I notice that there is no divi - fair enough. (Although the books look good and the future forecasts are promising - leaving IOF about 35% undervalued atm). But has the BOD indicated anything in regard to future divi payouts? Given the large number of shares held by directors, I'm assuming for now that the main source of their income will be divi payments. Thanks.
