12/6/2013 22:51 | I think there will be a lot of buying tomorrow. We are right on the trend line and I see a very stong bounce up tomorrow AM as I see that as a very strong support point. | escapetohome
12/6/2013 22:39 | Bogg1e - Welcome! Nice to see you here. Congratulations on the price you got. I think you're going to enjoy the ride. | roboben
12/6/2013 22:34 | Yes noli 4 more plants with a profit range of $10m to $20m each maybe more depending on bpd/ppm and opex for each. Some don't get it. But as we are the ones that have dug out the data then we say it with confidence. IOF have already said what they intend their exit rates to be, and we know they intend to go up to io6 this year. A plant doing 250mt PA with $20 opex covers he $10m at current prices. Io2 on 65% capacity already hit that annual production rate in May. Just up to io4 would be a great result but they plan to get us up to io6. Slippage isn't in issue, as the 2 I wanted in OK this year has turned into 5. Those 5 imo are worth 40 to 60 io1's. It makes a huge difference where you put the plants. Not how many, and when. So would we have preferred 60 io1's over 10 years for over $100m capex and much higher opex, or 5 plants with 4 in just a few months, with $10m capex and low opex. It's easy to work out, and that's why IOF have followed their course of action. All you need to wonder is what, they wish to keep so quiet about. I for one noted how they lumped in io2 production with io1 to fog it up a bit. | superg1
12/6/2013 22:34 | On the QFI board (contributors pointed me towards IOF - bought in today), we have noticed a lot of trades instigated by buyers being reported by MMs as trades instigated by sellers. AIM rules are more lax than the LSE and if there isnt enough stock or liquidity the share does not get traded by an electronic trading system and has to go through brokers. Shannanigans ahoy. | bogg1e
12/6/2013 22:13 | Skasher Who did they buy them from then? Each day the same number of shares are bought as are sold. Some are from/to MMs and some are between and other combinations but you can't buy shares from space (yet!) EDIT And you can't tell much from the list displayed in ADFN trade data unless you have L2 to see what was happening at the time of each trade. | freshvoice
12/6/2013 22:07 | "However 300000 more shares bought than sold so can't all be bad" Schoolboy error ... SCRUTABLE, we need you ... explain it all to them, I am tired & drinking. | n3tleylucas
12/6/2013 22:03 | So resignation today can't say was entirely surprised always Seemed like a 50/50 whether lance would return in same capacity News broke to market before agm However 300000 more shares bought than sold so can't all be bad | skasher094
12/6/2013 21:54 | "Today has given a great buying oppertunity that many thought would not come" Many are oft wrong, as is yer spelling. | n3tleylucas
12/6/2013 21:50 | Today has given a great buying opportunity that many thought would not come, i dont think these prices will last too long. Time to fill ones boots i might just add. No one imho has bought at the top, we are nowhere near where we are going. 4 more plants this year, 6 or 8 next year, plus the MI's, possible swd owners and charging for brine disposal, oil skim revenue, selling thousands of barrels of hot and cold water, possible oil farm out, helium farm out if we have it and a growing IOC division year on year. Why on earth would one sell. Aimho | noli
12/6/2013 21:23 | Norbert, Good te see you back ... I know you hate me for saying this ... but I still think madchick is a subtle de-ramper ... at times. Hope yer well bud. | n3tleylucas
12/6/2013 21:16 | Would give some hope to those wanting to top up today but didn't manage it! and another nasty shock to those who bought at the top! | escapetohome
12/6/2013 20:52 | Sorry, just applying some thought for a change :-) To answer my own question, I guess that they will seek and invite rather than advertise the job anyway. Doh! | madchick
12/6/2013 20:51 | PS. Also meant to speculate whether we might have a further or continued dip tomorrow for those that don't get the news until the evening and then decide to sell. Would give some hope to those wanting to top up today but didn't manage it! | madchick
12/6/2013 20:48 | Sorry to hear the news today - sorry for Lance both for his continuing health problem and I'm sure he must be frustrated as well at not seeing IOF through to its full glory (but at least he still holds his shares!). FWIW, I don't think he will be selling - he probably has a good exit package and/or health insurance I would think? What would happen if someone from the competitors applied for the job? How would they know it wasn't an ulterior fact-finding mission? Or are the competition by definition unsuitable? It will be interesting to see what criteria they emphasise in the new appointment - Mergers and Acquisitions, as orslega hypothesised, or iodine/chemical industry expertise, someone from one of the white knights, someone with oil/water/helium expertise? Ansana - thanks, you've just reminded me that I need to chase up and see what happened to the letter from my bank. When I went to the VOG EGM, I emailed before to ask whether a printout would be enough and they said I needed the actual letter. I didn't get the letter until 1 hour before the meeting so it was a bit worrying. However, when I got there, they already had my name down and didn't ask to see it. You might like to email to ask if you can reserve a place and they will probably say no, but they might actually do it anyway. In any case, they changed the location for a bigger one, so I think it will be OK - using classroom-style seating (as it was for VOG), the room holds 110 people. It would be good to see you there! | madchick
12/6/2013 20:40 | Nice work SG, Three Forks core acerage $19,000 per acre, non core $12,000. We have to have core acreage. New guy is interesting, I hope we do not need his services too soon for any M&A. He seems to have the right background. I will sleep well tonight. | rogerbridge
12/6/2013 19:54 | Britain's got talent came up earlier, which was a head-scratcher re google. Then I realised...... Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden. No matter what any bear says, it's not them, but we can debate that option if anyone is unsure :-) | superg1
12/6/2013 19:44 | Yup he was the one I was thinking: | diggulden
12/6/2013 19:38 | No I don't know and I'm guessing, but this guy looks like he knows his stuff and suits the circs very well | superg1
12/6/2013 19:33 | I cant i am afraid beacuse i havent met him yet! i know that the board are very happy with him and he is a lawyer and thats it!not very helpful at all lol! | matrixtrader
12/6/2013 19:32 | I'll try and find that guy matrix. Rumour is that Lance will be there too. I'm not so sure all shorts will be over the moon, happier perhaps, but some still under water I suspect, when you are positioned as such, the deal is to close on such news while the liquidity is around, well one supply has already gone. | superg1
12/6/2013 19:24 | A 3 forks article showing the 3 forks is creating more interest, if I don't post it now I'll be a 100 subjects further on in 2 days. | superg1
12/6/2013 18:50 | His consultancy is on an ongoing basis, that doesn't seem short term to me. See the last sentence below, could he return if his health improved? Speculation on my part. " The board is pleased to have secured his services on an on-going basis as a consultant to the group. The board extends its sincere best wishes to him and his family in the hope he will soon return to full health." | che7win
12/6/2013 18:45 | Thanks Joe I must have misread previous posts, I thought it was more casual than that. I may have left it a bit late In that case. If i have I will have to rely on others to feedback via the board. | ansana |
