Tree shake - look at the spread. It does not drop by that much halfway through the day without some manipulation going on.

It's amazing how relaxing it has suddenly become to contemplate IOF as a steady state company for the next few months. It wipes out the shorters' major current scare story that cash flow will remain continuously negative due to the high capex of the planned roll out.

I have since been able to think about marginal costs. Now that IO#3 has settled down just how much more manpower and how much energy is needed to run IO#4, once the construction team has moved on to IO#5. I suspect two people; or less than 1% of the Revenue from IO#4. Maybe it's time IOF spent another half of 1% on a marketing guy.

Are not these extra 400-600T/pa from IO#4/5/6 going to be extraordinarily lucrative? And the mini plants more so

SHOCKING SHOCKING SCHOCKING

Is the mighty Thor going to smash his pink hammer?

Sentiment is key in this gamblers haven of aim and drives prices, Not half baked research.

That's right sentiment drives the price.

Come on you rampers - what's your paper losses?

SHOCKING SHOCKING SHOCKING

ps wouldn't argue with this chart - all the best though - takeover a quick exit from the troubles at the mill. An investment on a two to three year view IMO.

I don't believe chris fey would be allowed to sell right now. Someone brought it up yesterday.

At any rate, looks like we might break some volume records today: nearly 4 million already!

I like that RNS.
No hype, no calamities, no speculation.
Chilean situation is sufficiently dire for IOF to take time out
to morph from exciting innovative fledgeling
to a stable competitive company with a great future.

An RNS confirming the water deal, then one
confirming production figures from IO1 to IO5 will move the share price
It would be nice to know more about the original fine chems biz....
IMO a long hold that will pay what we were hoping.
Just took a more realistic time-scale...

Short term, the share price is a bore. Short term...

This mornings RNS as it basically saying that Iofina has a level headed plan to see them safely through to profits without the need for further fund raising. That was the right message they needed to give to the market to remove the uncertainty on Iofina's cash position. With plants 4,5 and 6 quickly heading for production and capex temporarily on hold subject to review it will allow Iofina to fully optimise what they have, further expand their successful chemical derivatives division and quickly build up some cash. It was also good to see a target date set for the first roll out of the mobiles + confirmation that water rights was still on the cards.
With the funding issue out of the way any good operational news from now on should be received positively by the markets.

captain_kurt - Proactive have got it wrong. They state that Iofina have ORDERED two mobile units when the RNS states quite clearly that '...two units are PLANNED TO BE ORDERED during 2014....'. There is an important difference between planning to order and actually ordering. The Lord save us from investment experts!

13.13pm Mistake corrected by Proactive after exchange of emails. Credit to them!

Isn't it a touch coincidental that no company producing over 1000mt hasn't been taken over and IOF are waiting for 6 plants to be optimised? What rate will we be on when 6 plants are optimised? 700-1000mt was conservatively predicted by IOF. For what price will IOF go then? Well 1000mt is roughly £30m profit which with a pe of 20 is over £5 a share. What about water? If only it was under a different name so that they could separate it from IOF when an offer comes in.....oh wait. I have a feeling this time next year we will be talking not on the iof BB on adv but on the Atlantis board. People say that this RNS hasn't provided any clarity. In my mind it has just made things a whole lot clearer....
