che7: should be news on the short term too imo.

SG said somewhere in a recent post 'don't be surprised by short term surprises' (paraphrased!).

HOwever much IOF want to keep quiet and for whatever reason, news of the CEO/CFO appointments will have to be announced. Also the water permit as and when it achieves stage 1, as it will be public knowledge thanks to vigilance here.

I would personally hope that we get an iodine update before the H1 statement, but that will now be down to the new CEO imo and we don't know his style yet.

SG: good account of the shorting process, thanks. Agree that 'ethical' shorting helps liquidity, so best to recognise that it happens and be prepared to take advantage of it.

Puzzled by one point, though: 'I see shorts as a fund building ready to buy'. If you short and close you end up with zero, so perhaps you're suggesting that the fund is buying and shorting at the same time to keep the share price stable? This doesn't seem to help though, as the necessary buy is just deferred to the process of closing the short.

Not impossible for IO#2 to produce over 60MT over July/August/September, the equivalent to all production in the first half.

IO#3 and IO#4 will also chip in some production towards the end of the year, the share price won't remain down here for long, too much upside over the next 6-12 months.

I expect new highs to be reached quite quickly, we're about to triple iodine plants and iodine production will be at least x7 this years by beginning of next year with 6 plants.

End of next year, 12 plants is the aim, rollout increasing from 1 per quarter to 1 every 2 months which will scare the competition!

By that stage, 12 plants operating, the market won't care if the odd plant has down time, also got the mini plants on top. 3000 MT run rate exiting 2014 means 40p EPS, P/E 25 = £10 share price, with water supply also likely to be operating.

Crazy price IMHO, but I don't mind, I'm a long term holder.

If that did come to pass john, I feel sure that the US would slap a high tax on imports to protect their own growth and businesses. Their eye is on their own economy and the shale oil boom is helping to pull them out of the mire!

You've got a bloody cheek lecturing me about my posts!

Here's a selection of yours:

"More cheese with your whine?"

"The new site has been up and running for a while now, hence the distinct absence of regular posts by the masters of the universe.
Its all about power and control.
EWCT"

"One thing for sure, whatever share price gains are made between now and the end of September will be wiped out by a poor set of interims."

"More delays to come I fear."

You lecture me about research and input, what exactly is your contribution?
At least I'm not helping the shorters with pointless, negative and obviously deramping posts such as yours.

And who's doing the "consistent whinging" you complain about? I think it's you. Idiot. And that's definitely saying more about you, lol.

With a "long term holder" like you (don't make me laugh!), who needs Netley?

Lol...I do need to reply!
Not for one second would I think you would write the drivel we are speaking about, but some, perhaps newbies etc, may not know you quite so well! :)

"Warm good suggestion" Roger good advice, he has been added to my filtered Nutters list. Warm you don't really think I would write that sort of unsubstantiated drivel do you? No need to reply ;-)

Ansana, maybe you could put EWCT's comment in quotes? When I first read the first sentence I thought it was you talking about the "down trend" :)

Also while I'm at it, I would like to mention re thumbs up, I don't care for it on my own posts and agree with SG (6908) that its a silly system. If anyone wants to thumbs up a post please show your appreciation to SG who puts in countless hours effort and is actually deserving of all our thumbs up even if its just symbolic. Well done SG!

Ok bye for now!

Ansana, EWCT is obviously posting for selfish motives, ie to buy in at a low price. The posting style gives him/her away. Probably a bitter ex holder forced out at a loss who recognises the potentially huge rewards that IOF will provide but bitter and twisted enough to deramp and use words such as "flash crash" to scare weak holders and try to force a lower entry point for his/her own rewards..Best to ignore such low lives.

Unfortunately the down trend is well intact, and this could easily test the flash crash intraday low before the end of the month.

Is this statement based on TA or opinion? If its TA can you share your analysis please.

Surely, if there was something 'in the wind' the price would have moved up more strongly than this? Willing to be proved wrong!

bit of a surprise rise in the last couple of hours today. Not a great deal of volume to it, but it makes one wonder if there's an RNS in the pipeline. Certainly not outside the realm of possibility...

Up

I dig too deep and see things others don't so rather than mess around with guesswork I hold. Those that think there are not factors that could suddenly shift the price are wrong.

On shares I've had a punt on historically, I do exactly as you do.

I think you were on Fum. As you probably know if I think something is up I say so with the facts to go with it. History now that bit, and Fum should head off north again soon.

I have some bits dug out on other shares, it's not good, but I have learned not to bother 'helping', it's too much hassle.

Any negative view is seen as someone shorting, on BB's 99 percent of the time, they are right.

The world is a small place with the web available. It's amazing the contacts and bits and pieces you pick up, if you are prepared to put the effort in.
