Chris was chairman of shell uk ( hardly a bit of the company ), chairman of stena ( Sweden largest private company ! ) and a board member of Anglo American - as to being a moron , he was useless at small companies which was hardly surprising .

One point on Atlantis it was purchased before fracking oil and gas in the states took off - the price reflected that . Prices for these rights have soared - I would not be surprised with water rights and slap in the middle of frack alley in Montana the property wasn't worth more than the market capitalism without the iodine business. ! 10 billion barrels of water is a very valuable resource .

Yes I agree Mr B. Should have kept to the original plan.
However, we are where we are and events coming to the boil nicely. After some considerable time, I am once more beginning to get excited about the future.
Increased production, possible Japan connection, water and possibly oil down the road.
My SIPP is beginning to look healthier by the day.

Bob, rumour has it, that the BoD have been chatting to/been approached by the japanese wholesale iodine buyers, who have become aware that a global drop off in supply is coming and therefore, presumably, are seeking to guarantee supply by paying for pods etc but with the caveat that the production from that facility belongs to them at a guaranteed price for a guaranteed period. I find it slightly telling that, if true, the Japs have approached at a time when the price of iodine has been forced, thanks to Cosayach and Algorta undercutting the market, to low prices. The BoD will have to negotiate carefully to make sure they dont get caught out by a price hike; basing sales on the market price minus eg a 7.5% discount so the client can make back their capital expenditure, would help counter any sharp rises as supply tightens. We shall have to wait and see.

Indeed. What i find intriguing is the potential Japanese offtake agreements. They have the money to put in a lot of infrastructure (probably pods) to guarantee supply. I wouldn't care if Iofina were only paid enough per ton to cover the polants operating costs til the value of the iodine delivered to the Japanese equalled their capital outlay, before taking a larger cut. What counts is the fact that it would help Iofina achieve a notable presence in the iodine production world much more quickly, without having to go down the original, highly aggressive growth plan.

Not really ! Since stena funded the grinding ( hardly sensible )- simply stating what he's view was and he was ex chairman of shell !
There is no conspiracy !

Mr Big,

"Chris always told me oil , gas and water will end up more valuable than the iodine Business - I also like the iodine business long term! "

Careful this will only be construed by the conspiracy minded folk that Chris Faye was deliberately trying to grind Iofina into insolvency to grab these assets. This i don't believe for one second myself, but that is fuel for the fire! Have fun in New Orleans!

I remember the number was over 10 billion barrels of water on Atlantis , it was potentially worth more than all the iodine put together .
I think legally the water belongs to the company through it's right and the oil and gas companies are all over the surrounding territories fracking which needs water !
Chris always told me oil , gas and water will end up more valuable than the iodine Business - I also like the iodine business long term. !

Wow mister big I am amazed that comment hasn't sparked a mass of questions in the last 2 hours. Not surprised if what I read into your post is true with the share price movement today and as my break even point is 154p I really hope it is true with lots of barrels granted!!
