I agree with super g post , it should be remembered that shorting is hard work !
Since share prices can only fall by 100% ( at the most extreme) and have unlimited upsides. Re STM I have recently voted with my feet increasing my stake over 10% ( act comment is ridiculous since I've been a holder for five years and never sold a share . This stock will be rerated in the not too distance future !

Mm3, some information was available. At the AGM Chris said ppms around 125 for the plants. That sticks in my mind as I just ignored it thinking he was just playing it down. But in reality they were just taking the easy option and putting them in the wrong place. Also the production numbers were a lot smaller than I was expecting for Q2 2013, that should have raised a little warning flag that not all was going to plan. But the share price carried on going up (if I remember rightly) also no production figures for Q3 2013 so I ignored the facts. In future I will try harder to not get blinkered by a rising share price and take profits. GLA

If Arron had come on here when he started shorting and pointed out this was way too high you wouldn't so charitable. The fact is he didn't, others did. Those who did are regarded as filthy lying scumbags. Funny old world, isn't it?

........... It would probably better to blame yourself for not looking at the fundamentals of the business, and what the management was doing .

How did you come to know what were the management were actually doing (contrary to their actual RNS output and posted "research" presumably)?

Don't,
Perhaps you could make it back by investing in the two companies in which Mr B is invested which he has "tipped" on these boards - STM & MFX?
Only a thought - certainly no advice intended.

"well perhaps Mr. Big, you can share your millions with those of us who lost fortunes because you were shorting to the detriment of the company and others"

what utter tosh. If you don't understand the mechanics of the markets, you shouldn't be allowed to play.

You probably posted something slightly "off message". A sign of jittery holders IMO.

I have no idea what he's saying - but the classic sign of a narcissist is that they always have to have the last word...

Well that will go down well with the PI's who've lost a fortune here. I like you, you make me laugh... rare. I can't think of a way we can enjoy this other than this, or you create a new avatar somewhere and we enjoy our little bits... of banter ;)

I'm sitting on a profit of 2m dollars on iofina - lol how many people can say that ( that doesn't include a very large profit shorting it originally ) - so forgive me if I don't really take your comments too seriously !
Ps - we did do Shakespeare at my school in Berkshire !

You are no bully, as the thread tells. You react naturally defensively when a poster is running rings around you and you resort to Googling Shakespeare quotes to gain some semblance of credibility. It didn't work, and never will. I still like bobsworth's post though, that nobody cares to comment on, bar me. ;))
