01/4/2014 11:12 | malachey, like Amsterdam in the late 70s early 80s, its a bunch of hippies doing it, no real large scale infrastructure yet. I hope it stays that way, when growers/seed banks in Amsterdam started out the quality was amazing, then when money became too tempting, the quick buck crew semi-gangster types took over. Ruined the culture and everything that made Amsterdam an awesome place to live. | ![]() bogg1e

01/4/2014 11:09 | Boggle - Hell yes, could use some light relief after the last 8 months :) Aaron/Mr Big - welcome, good to have you on board. Guess you've already made the connection but as with most things the macro side is really down to what happens in China. At the moment the copper price is at five year lows due to the following: - Slowdown in chinese infrastructure/housi - unwinding of the hot money triangle trade used to sneak dollars into the county If either of those things change then we will see a decent pick up in the copper price (warehose levels are practically at zero so it won't take much to drop through to physical demand). As SG points out increased copper demand will result in increased wages for miners, increased competition for water & power, and a stronger peso, all of which are good for IOF. The desicion on full QE in China has not yet been made and could go either way (although expectation is that it will appear). The chinese government have already announced an increase in infra spend to help take up slack in the economy. PS: btw I'm probably alone in this opinion, but could you all please stop buying, I'm skint until the tax year rolls over :) | testuser123

01/4/2014 10:54 | Look at the fundamentals. Does this company produce Iodine. Yes. Will production be increasing as more production sites come on line. Yes. Do they have a patent and technology which enables them to sell iodine cheaper than their competitors. Have there been some delays in which has results in production being less than anticipated. Long term will this sort itself out - yes. If you are an investor rather than a trader is this a good price and investment long term. - DYOR. I think so. | ![]() octopus100

01/4/2014 10:41 | Mister B Just claim the toaster set the curtains alight, a well used excuse I understand. Oh .... no curtains in a barn. Myth busters are in the case for the toaster scenario, so far they haven't been able to replicate it, so probably busted. | ![]() superg1
01/4/2014 10:31 | not that well informed i have no idea what that means!! and its about half day not two days !! - im off to the farm since we had a barn burn down last night , trying to smoke out rats ( luckily it was awful and needed replacing) - probably cant claim that on insurance since the worker started it!! | mister big
01/4/2014 10:24 | now up to speed on chile ! been looking at google ( source of all knowledge). I think you may be right about their costs rising - the article you sent about average miners wages at $80K ! whats moderated ( sounds bad!!) | mister big

01/4/2014 10:07 | Mister B, fair play to you for the direct and prompt answer. I hope you stick around, because if I think that you have sold up.... then so should I! | ![]() festario
01/4/2014 09:57 | festario thanks! I came on because he told me there was an interesting comment, nothing more or less. Ive actually enjoyed most of the posts particularly the one about chile, which ive been reading up today on - seems cost of mining in chile is spiralling up which is good news! To answer your question; i do not believe an MBO is likely but believe someone will spot the value ( trade or otherwise), the flight to the top is always bumpy think of a jumbo jet as it gets up to cruise. The 15% increase and dump is unlikely because its a small stock and a large holding can't just be loaded onto the market - also i believe my target is around 125p, when things are back on track. | mister big
01/4/2014 09:57 | Nice post MrBig.....some good advice contained within | ![]() molatovkid
01/4/2014 09:56 | 'shorts are not the enemy but the irrational investor.' Quite possibly the most accurate thing I have ever seen posted on a BB. You speak sense Mister Big. EDIT. I include myself in the 'irrational investor' column! | ![]() diggulden |
