Eddy those lines sum up nicely what SG has been saying for months and months, Whitman Howard have obviously been following this board! I will refrain from doing a rambling post and list what IOF have achieved so far in 2013 and of course 2013 isn't over yet. I will say ALL my shares will be going with me into 2014. For those experiencing the willy wobbles of late the only thing 'to fear is fear itself' and in the case of many on this board its self induced fear. Rumour has it that things are going very well, busy busy busy. I will have to play catch up later as I am out for the rest of the day so I wont be staring manically at the screen.

It really depends on how fast IOF can play catch up with this years delays. The roll out has been impeded, so its best to take a conservative view in regards to how much time it takes to reach targets. The important point is though, is that these targets will be reached and exceeded, just later than expected.

Whitman Howard are pretty keen on IOF for next year:

Iofina (price 166p: Buy, TP 205p) offers a unique investment opportunity within the iodine industry. Iodine fundamentals are set to remain attractive with Iofina excellently positioned as the low cost producer. The shares offer a most favourable risk/reward balance and with compelling valuation merit investment.

Good to see a bit of a bounce considering the huge volatility this morning, whether it was a short attack or the mms trying to force some sales or just pi's throwing in the towel as quite a few including me are under deep water here. I just hope Scrutable is right and this is the next ASOS and we will find out over the next 6 months if he is right.

"The shares are trading on a 2015 PE and EV/EBITDA multiples of 12.1 and 10.1"

Dig, if EPS is 36.8p, then forward P/E is more like 4.

Figures don't match up to me.

Thank you Matrix Trader, that's two positives today, the note and the news that the Republicans and Democrats have decided not to pull faces at each other.

Thanks matrixtrader,

Re the following paragraph (my emphasis)...
"Locations for IO#4, IO#5 and IO#6 have been selected and procurement of plant equipment is largely complete and site leasing is in progress. IO#4, IO#5 and IO#6 were scheduled for completion in Q4 2013 but timeframe is now Q1 2014. With these plants fully operational annualised production will be around 700-1000mt of crystallised iodine. Planning for additional plants in 2014 is being currently undertaken."

a) It is my understanding that IO#4 and IO#5 sites are rather more advanced; in fact they are under construction. The RNS of 20/11/2013 states that Construction continues on IO#4 and IO#5. So commission might reasonably be expected early in the New Year.

b) The exit rate target of 700-1000 mT was re-affirmed in the earlier RNS of 31/10/2013 for the current year from just IO#1-3 production. My guess would be at the lower end of that range.

The target figures are in-line with those issued by Investec.

Netley - how much have you been cleaned out on Xcite, Beowulf, Sirius, Futura and PTO? Come on now, clear it up.Have you noticed how your plugging Cloudbuy has led to the stock slowing too?! What's up with that? You the stock tipper with the merde touch?!Are you back to working the day job as a bum wiping nurse to fund your extravagant lifestyle of scotch eggs and Tennents Super?

A clear run for 3 plants in Q1 only weeks away.
Not many are expecting the 700MT target to be met. Will Iofina surprise on the upside ?

Hey nice for an official version, instead of us guys banging on about it.

Yes the business model looks very attractive, we just need delivery. An update on overall current production would be nice too.

US debt........ shock horror they actually agreed something, end of the week predicted and they did it overnight. Perhaps the coffee was spiked with bromide to counter-act the testosterone.

That dragging out to the mid Jan date would have really kicked the new year spirit into touch.

Investment Considerations:
 Unique resource in iodine with limited
global supply
 Lost cost producer-$10-20/Kg
 Strong demand potential
 Excellent patent protection
 Health financials- net cash $16.2m
