kcowe 28 May'13 - 17:25 - 2178 of 2201 1 0

liquid Millionaire could you tell me when Bison Energy was set up. and how large a equity stake PRS have in Bisons share capital. TIA

Unfortunately kcowe i can not disclose that information as it is imo deemed to be "inside information" as the market in general does NOT know. What i can say though is that PRS have a seriously meaningful investment in Bison Energy which would have especially at the top end of broker estimates an extremely positive reflection on the share price. Add in all the other bits and PRS should imo already be north of 1p.

Later this year could see PRS imo trading within the 2p to 3p region with a longer term [2014] share price target of 5p+

For some clues as to how Bison Energy could trade post IPO take a look at IOF

It was a surprise to me, but it was near 600k acres at one point. They reduced it picking the 'sweet spots' on the 3D data.

Hi Madchick. A note from this month identifies the Atlantis acreage as 290,000 ac. One would assume this to be up to date?!

engelo - I think that wording from the IOF website is very old. They started off with around 30k acres, then acquired 290k, then I heard here that it had reduced (but the website never changed), perhaps down to 200k, and now I don't have the foggiest!

Technology still seems like magic to me - can't believe those screen grabs are all html code!

A bit more on Bakken/3 Forks: extracts from

http://www.energyandcapital.com/articles/bakken-and-three-forks-oil/3344

"The Bakken is made up of three layers of sediment. The upper and lower layers are black marine shale, and the center layer comprises siltone, sandstone, mudstone and dolomoite.

Below that is the Three Forks formation, which also has multiple layers of compact rock, amounting up to 270 feet in thickness.

Three Forks

Within the 7 billion figure, over 3 billion barrels of oil are concentrated in Three Forks. As you can see, Three Forks lies under the Bakken and encompasses North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana.

bakken three forks mapSource: EPRINC

North Dakota has been an area of steadfast economic growth in recent years, and the states that make up Three Forks will surely benefit from drilling operations as more companies begin to invest in the unknown territory. The formation is far deeper than Bakken, and the formation has been deemed unreachable for the past five years.

But thanks to horizontal drilling and fracking, there are more reachable reserves than previously thought.

Where as much as 33 percent of the Bakken has been tested for oil and gas, Three Forks is under-explored at only 5 percent."

"Companies in Three Forks

Continental Resources (NYSE: CLR) is one company willing to venture out in Three Forks territory. Continental believes the heaviest reserves are located in the lower portion of Three Forks.

Continental's estimate for the formation produced a figure of 903 billion barrels of oil originally in place and suggested technically recoverable reserves could be in a range of 36 to 45 billion.

This estimation very generous, but Continental has been one of the pioneers in the Bakken, and the company has investment relations to worry about. Continental outlined its plans in Three Forks since September of 2012.

The company has already conducted its first operating wells, with more wells to come as the company digs deeper.

Marathon Oil (NYSE: MRO) and Sinclair Oil Group are among seven other companies with drilling operations in Three Forks, providing the USGS with information involving the latest technologies that will secure higher extraction rates.

Other companies include Exxon Mobil's (NYSE: XOM) XTO Energy, Whiting Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: WLL), Cornerstone Energy Resources, and United Energy Group Ltd.

As investment and drilling continues, Three Forks will be a welcome addition as the United States continues to be a top oil-producing nation.

Keep an eye out for Three Forks as it is being developed."

Continental afaics are the leaders in 3 Forks development. They have achieved production from all 3 benches and are pioneering new techniques eg several wells from a single drill pad.

The most beautiful eight words in the English language.

Certainly looks like the 244/245p might be the ceiling just for now, 3 attempts to go above and not sticking. Might need some news to push through. L2 is fascinating though, gives a much better understanding to how the order book works.

dig, don't know myself, but these are some instructions I copied from another poster a while ago if you want to give it a try.

1. Press print screen
2. Asssuming you have it, open Microsoft Picture Manager NOT word. It will be under Start, All programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft office tools. Other picture editing software will be ok to use too for example Photoshop
3. Right click and paste the image into the software.
4. Double click the image and you can now edit it if you wish to
5. I generally crop it so on the left click edit picture and then crop
6. Drag the corners of the image to fit what you want to be seen and click ok
7. Click save file as and save as a JPEG file. Note where the image is being saved to. I generally just save it to desktop for ease.

From there it's uploading to photobucket

photobucket.com

1. Click upload (it has a green arrow next to it)
2. Click Browse Files
3. Select the image from wherever you saved it and click open
4. The image will now upload to Photobucket and may take a short while depending on your internet speed
5. Still on photobucket, now click the image that youve uploaded
6. To the right youll see some different codes for that image. Youll need the HTML code so hover over the code and left click the mouse. Youve now copied that code.
7. Get on ADVFN and when in the comments to post your message, just right click and paste the code.
8. Once posted the image should appear.
