09/3/2024 06:31 | In defence of Iofina the AIM market is a graveyard with a lot of decent companies trading at a very big discounts to historical valuations. Very few asset managers invest in AIM these days as they have grown so large. The main target market for AIM companies is family offices and HNW investors. | chillpill
08/3/2024 19:04 | It’s like watching paint dry, the BOD are inept and need to be replaced. Lances puppet(Tom)is past his sell by date, the puppet master has 0 interest, nothing will change until the BOD do. | pinkpudycat
08/3/2024 18:50 | A few years ago i thought, lets be sensible, stop chasing imaginary riches in high risk shares that promise the world but rarely deliver So i bought into IOF, why not they're making profit and expanding, whats not to like.... But i've never been so bored, whilst equally disapointed by a company. I didn't buy in expecting triple digit gains, but I thought it to be a safe bet with a decent growth story and possible dividands....still waiting, but sooooo bored.. | ianous
08/3/2024 18:49 | I wish they would confirm the financial figures for last year with the sales, ebitda, capex and net cash levels. Waiting 5 or nearly 6 months is too long in this age. One of the failings of AIM. On the positive side the weather (other than a cold week in mid Jan and the wildfires last week that were a bit close to IO#8) should mean good Q1 production and progress on IO#10. Also SQM confirmed stable pricing likely for the year. Maybe it is time to start a share buyback program as any purchases will be relatively small in cash terms but at least show intent. | chillpill
08/3/2024 15:30 | Fed up is about right, which is why share price keeps drifting down sellers simple, better opportunities elsewhere... | beeezzz
08/3/2024 09:52 | Don't rush them, they are working hard to stabilize the share price, oh wait, its been around this level for 15 years...good job BOD... | beeezzz
08/3/2024 07:29 | No RNS....... What is going on? | beercapafn
07/3/2024 16:19 | Looks like 100k sell.... | beeezzz
07/3/2024 14:30 | Many buys suggest an RNS in the morning. | beercapafn
04/3/2024 17:36 | IOF generally prefer to put out news after the quarterly SQM update on iodine prices. | chillpill
04/3/2024 12:49 | So investors are losing patience - lack of information. I believe 2 AGMs ago there was a great store on a " much more open and transparent " flow of news and direction. I don't see it. | beercapafn
04/3/2024 10:37 | I assume that they have the numbers, but are trying to pair with positive IO #10 news. | beercapafn
04/3/2024 09:04 | Feels like we a in a state of limbo until we get some clarification on the end of year financials. Last year we got an update in Feb on EBITDA etc. Most markets these days you have to report within 3 months. | chillpill
29/2/2024 17:39 | excuse me if i am missing the obvious buy why do you say that? | nellyb
29/2/2024 14:32 | Looking like a negative RNS in the morning. (:-( | beercapafn
29/2/2024 08:09 | In SQM Presentation on website they are saying relatively stable prices expected in 2024 v 2023. Range last year was $66-70/kg so hopefully price for 2024 will average over $60/kg which is a bit higher than was expected. | chillpill
29/2/2024 07:56 | Chilean Iodine production. -SQM added 1300t of production at Pampa Blanca last year. -SQM have project to add 2500t at Pampa Orcoma. It appears to have been delayed due to permitting etc.- reading between the lines will only come on line next year at the earliest. -Cosayach in all sorts of problems. $45m fine for illegal water extraction the other day. More importantly their 2500t pa mine at Negreiros is due to be closed in coming months- their application to extend the mine has been rejected 3 times in last 4 years with the latest rejection in December. This is probably why SQM expect stable pricing. There is no new supply coming out of Chile- what is different from a few years ago is you have to build a seawater pipeline up into the Atacama Desert- it takes years to plan and build. | chillpill
29/2/2024 07:47 | Lots going on weather wise. Been warm in Oklahoma this month. Now wild fires (in Feb!)- worst area is West of IO#9 although there was a fire a few miles from IO#2 Rain in Atacama won’t be helping iodine production. | chillpill
29/2/2024 07:37 | SQM more bullish…..stab “The iodine and derivatives business revenues during the fourth quarter 2023 were slightly higher compared to the same period last year as a result of higher sales volumes. We believe that the total iodine market declined approximately 4% during 2023 when compared to previous year, due to a lower demand in some of the applications, inventory correction and overall weakness in the industrial sector. Despite the decrease in iodine demand seen during the year, our sales volumes increased almost 3% as a result of higher production volumes achieved during the year and reduced supply from other competitors. We believe SQM was the only iodine producer capable of materially increasing its production in the face of the continued positive price environment. We believe the market could achieve some demand recovery during 2024 with relatively stable prices throughout the year. Our sales volumes are expected to be flat in 2024, subject to market conditions and any incremental supply coming to the market.” | chillpill
28/2/2024 23:28 | Beer why don’t you go to the AGM and ask them yourself? | naphar
28/2/2024 15:54 | Even some photos off io10 progress would be nice | rambo1122 |
