I share the same outlook as Chillpill in respect of quarter 1 and overall trading.

The price per Kg of Iodine is favourable and the latest company updates are pointing toward a positive future for iodine production in my view.

I particularly like these extracts from the Q4 Corporate update

hxxps://iofina.com/q4-2023-corporate-update/

"Demand for the Company’s crystalline iodine remained robust during the final quarter, whilst sales of iodine derivatives had mixed results. Regarding non-iodine products, sales of a key product mainly used in the semiconductor industry improved significantly in the second half of the year after a slower-than-anticipated first half."

"In terms of new products, Iofina Chemical will be adding to its iodine derivatives product range in H1 2024, including an existing product in the market for which there is strong demand. The Company also expects to increase sales of its crystalline iodine to customers in Europe in 2024 through existing and new relationships."

I read somewhere this week that IOF iodine sales to Europe make up 1% of iodine sales by geography with the vast majority going to the US and Asia. If sales can be generated in Europe that should help with turnover from increased iodine production.

I have steadily purchased shares this week using up my 2024 ISA allowance on this unexplained dip so hoping for good news to come.

I know you state you have taken a recent deep dive into IOf regarding delays in the roll out of sites and I also note the reference to IO9 not being reliant of SWD due to its design. Any insight you can share on these comments would be appreciated.

Many thnaks

I still think we’ll get a production update - perhaps tomorrow - it was on the 12th of April last year. Yahoo finance is showing that the IOF earnings update will be reported on the 23rd April. They are two different beasts, so it’s not odd that they are so close together.

I’m feeling pretty relaxed on production in Q1 and overall trading. IO#9 is quite novel in its design in that it is not restricted by SWD injection restrictions.

Slightly frustrated on the comms side as they didn’t give a pre-audited year end trading update.

This will only appeal to a certain age group.
A friend was in a line of about 12, in a Starbucks coffee shop at a London train station.  As was the practice some years ago, the barista asked the name of the person ordering at the counter, to facilitate the smooth pick up of the correct order to the correct individual. Sensible right?

But, there was a Dad's Army fan 4 people out from the counter. And as the Barristers said what's your name the man at the front of the queue, leaned out of the queue and said in a loud and Captain Mannering tone, DON'T TELL HIM PIKE.

It was a moment of pure English humour.

At least half the queue burst out laughing, it was just so in the moment.
I know that some on here view my comments as repetitive and not in their view relevant.  Boring.

So this is just a nod to that I do have a sense of humour.

There must be a large overhang for there to be such a small 'uplift in the mid-price.

No GB904150: Running a company is Current - Live if a listed public company the management is Day to Day, reactive. Expected.

Strategy is what cuts a company out from the pack in a positive or negative.

Your request for the next set of results to have an opinion is to ignore the 40% drop in the value of our investments in the day-to-day running of the company by the BOD.

Currently - 40% due to lack of news information.

I would have thought we would see an RNS if there was a profit warning, already. Isn't it usually a deviation of +/- 10% ?

Isn't this all a bit premature?

Last year on 12th April we had a Q1 production update.

2 weeks after that we should have our 2023 full year results for YE 31/12/2023.

That will show what our finances look like with 12 months of relatively strong iodine prices, little to no debt (so no financing costs) and hopefully stable production.

Only then can we see if the recent 40% drop in the share price, seemingly on no major changes is justified or not.

TBH at this stage it would need to be an absolutely abysmal operational performance for that drop to be justified.

Yes, I know everyone hates the management and those shouts are even louder atm because the share price is so weak....but can we hold on and then roast them based on some actual results first please?

Lance is a risk and a confirmed risk.

He should not be allowed to serve as a member of the BOD, more to the point, that he should be removed from having ANY influence on the ongoing influence in the future of IOF. He declared that he was fundraising for a new venture on the last visit to London and influenced at least one major long-term investor in IOR to sell up and move into his new venture.

That is not the integrity and vision I seek in influencing IOF in any way.

Please, Please, let's see his resignation, now - next RNS.

Only with Lance out of the picture will IOF have the chance of Institutional investment and a new, more modern and dynamic strategic influence.

We have better IP and cash generation than anyone else in this section of chemicals.

So, just leaves management and shareholders return that needs addressing.

Please.

SR needs to take control and force change. This is turning into a complete sh1t show, Tom is past his sell by date and needs moved sideways and his puppet master needs shown the door, as for the rest of the BOD, they are dead wood and should be disposed off forthwith. The share price is back to where it was a year ago!

Barrywhit Yep agree. From 37p to 20p that is life-changing for many, including many long-term shareholders.

Exasperated. My biggest fear is that Lance gets to have anything to do with IOF.

Stock now trading below book value. Makes a share buyback even more convincing option.

I have a feeling a shareholder might have got into trouble in some other stocks.
