Looks good to me. If you take out the cash it looks even cheaper.Anyone know about the property? Can this be taken out too? If so that`s £21m of Mkt Cap before the trading business. Please correct me if I`m wrong, looks to good so it probably is . . . .! All IMO :)

Sainsburys statement didnt tell us what we dont know
Chief executive Justin King said the trading environment was tough and said consumers were feeling squeezed.

Mr King said customers were "facing fuel price inflation, uncertain employment prospects and government spending cuts".
All cant be good for IDS imho

Boredom setting in again as it does with IDS, actually held up rather well in the wider carnage the past few days i reckon. Still hoping the results set things alight again here, any day now...

Sitting right on a near 2 year steady upward trend here, results now very soon.... reckon next leg up could be good for 250, maybe more if news of sale of company?

I don`t think Simon`s suggesting they`re buying anyone, but I agreew they`re probably going it alone. IMO :)

"The Board of Ideal Shopping Direct notes the recent press speculation regarding a potential sale of the Company. The Board confirms that it intends to undertake a review of its strategic options, which could include a sale of the Company."

=====

You'd think they could thrash out a deal within eight months, maybe IDS can seal a deal which can be announced with the Prelims next month.

It makes sense for Argos to buy IDS, price 250p to 300p.

I trimmed quite a lot as there's faster stuff to chase and I'm not sure what premium there will be on this sale, and these were drifting lower - results in March should reveal more.

Just about ready for the next move up on the chart I'd say and with their results due early March - surely going to be good imo

Maybe also be news on about the possible sale of the company too. Not forgetting the cash balance 2nd Jan was £14.7M - a 1/4 of the current market cap - and they may have added to that too! ex-cash these must still be on a low single digit p/e

I think these would have been posting a decent 'ahead' statement had it not been for the snow imo.

Was quite busy this afternoon but looking at the numbers now I have time:

H1 had 56.5m sales.

H2 last year saw sales of £56m. If sales in H2 are up 8.6% then they have done £61m sales in H2 - that's £117m as you say Foxman. Forecasts are for £114.3m so looks like they are slightly ahead indeed.

Why companies can't just spell it out in a statement like that beats me.

Anyway, that's a decent turn out imo.

Took a few off the table today - had far too many and think I can find a better home for my money elsewhere. Still holding a fair chunk tho'.

Watch it fly to 250p now.
