Yeah it's weird that a bid / takeover news can't even get this back to a 3 month high!!

Good luck all 👍🏻

These were 286p the other Week and have fallen right back. This is not an easy target though with so many RM staff and the Public owning shares, also some institutions.
It might okay to take a cheap potshot at some smaller Companies but only realistic value should apply here which imo. is 400p plus. This still might seem a bargain though given it's been 600p before.
Tough call.

Yes £4 has been talked about. I think any serious offer right now from DK would come in at less than that though.

Good luck all 👍🏻

Well anything can happen in this undervalued market. 400p is only 70p more than the Float price which was highly criticised at the time. GLS has also come a long way since then.
Problem with our unpopular and undervalued market is anything is game!

Wasn't £4 a share banded about on here last year before the efficiency drive?

Yes it's the blame culture that has taken over the UK. I saw them advertised and knew there must be something wrong because of the hefty discounts. It amazes me that FB, Ebay and others can spot a Bare Nipple and have it whipped off in a Nano Second but allow massive illegal and fraudulent adverts to stay on their sites for Weeks!

The people to blame for the fake stamps are those who "produced them" (not RM) and the cheapskates who thought they'd cut corners by buying their stamps from someone less reputable just because it was cheaper.

The red flag is usually that said item is being sold alot cheaper than traditional routes of sale.

Those scammed have only themselves to blame.

Zero sympathy.

Not RM's fault at all.

I doubt that we'll have 'stamps' as we know them within 5 years.

Maybe the time has come where you can only buy stamps directly from Royal Mail or the Post Office.

@31357, you'll find that we pay vat to china on imports which is calculated including the shipping fee that is handed over to hmrc. It's not in their interests to see our costs going up.

I think they've got a handle on this. A quick google and can't find any of those scam stamps anymore, no doubt they're still about but you would have to go out of your way to find them. Ebay seem to be only selling only old Xmas one's etc.
They were popping up on my FB pages everyday a few months ago and looked very real except the prices really didn't add up.

Because China pays RM for the last leg of its exports to the UK.

I think you'll find that under the Universal Postal Union agreement, mail sent to the UK has to be delivered without charge and vice versa. Chinese sellers only have to ship to UK borders, and the Chinese state subsidises them. Hence why I can buy an item from China - and have it shipped all the way from China - cheaper than I can post it on to my next door neighbour.

I'm not saying the Government are forging them, just that you can buy literally anything copied in China.
