If it makes the company stronger then it should be considered, how can IAG compete when every European airline is receiving enormous state handouts, their transatlantic business class the most profitable part, is going to see a large change in fortunes. So maybe it should be deemed necessary for them to receive some form of support.

CNBC reporting that Lufthansa rescue package includes German GOV taking 20% stake and having two people on the Board. Suspect IAG would want avoid this type of deal!

‘Still long way to go’: WHO records BIGGEST single-day increase in new Covid-19 cases:

The World Health Organization has reported 106,000 new coronavirus infections worldwide – more than on any other day since the world first faced the dreaded disease – as Europe continues to lift quarantine restrictions.

Most European nations appear to be past the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic, as governments across the continent gradually lift restrictions imposed to stem the spread of the virus. Yet, globally the crisis is far from over, the WHO warns, with the pandemic seemingly only nearing its peak.

We still have a long way to go in this pandemic," the UN health agency’s Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a news conference, adding that as many as 106,000 new cases have been reported across the world. "We are very concerned about rising cases in low and middle income countries."

The US remains the worst affected nation, with more than 1.5 million confirmed cases and over 92,000 deaths. It has also seen one of the highest daily new case increases, with more than 20,000 Americans diagnosed with Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Brazil is following close behind the US, having reported more than 16,500 new cases over the same period.

In Iran, the number of new infections is rising again following a relative drop in late April and early May. Over the last 24 hours, the nation reported more than 2,000 new cases. India, meanwhile, saw a nationwide record in new infections on Tuesday, as more than 6,000 people were diagnosed with Covid-19.

The numbers are also showing a steep growth in several Latin American countries, such as Mexico, Peru and Chile.

Definitely shady from Moderna, but thats generally how things work over the pond, and trumps pumping the market to keep it as high as possible before elections.. so dont think anything will happen to Moderna in the next few months..

I mean has anyone looked how inflated the Dow is compared to FTSe based on the bull run since 2009??

Forbes: "the new co-chair of the White House vaccine project is Moncef Slaoui, a former Moderna executive, who reportedly divested his $12.4 million in Moderna stock options on Monday." ... back off SEC, nothing to see here?
Wonder if a -4% Dow correction, -4% FTSE correction and -20% IAG correction is on the cards?

Moderna is in deep trouble from the FCA.

1. The company stay that their Phase 1 trial of a vaccine for Covid 19 has gone very well.

2. On the back of this Moderna Place $1.5 billion of shares

3. The next day Moderna say their Phase 1 trial has not gone as well as they first said.

The FCA are now going to investigate Moderna that they said the Phase 1 trial was positive in order to get away their Placing of new shares.

It is looking like Moderna are either going to face a hefty fine or have their shares suspended from further trading.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-05-19/covid-patients-testing-positive-after-recovery-aren-t-infectiousMassive news.Get COVID19 a second time - you are NOT contagious. IMHO this will unlock travel significantly over the short term when we have a test that can tell if you have had the virus already.
