Good to see some positivity here on a big global red day as markets digest possible domino defaults in China, I doubt the Chinese will let them fail, so expect government intervention. Still Sept/Oct always wobbly markets, tread with caution but take a longer term perspective imo

A bit late in the day for this article and I suspect that Hedge funds are behind it's publication.
They are going to take a hit with their shorts.

It must be clear to everyone now that BOJO , Sunak, Biden et al care nothing for the UK airline industry or the associated jobs.

Still, as long as they are building Nuclear Submarines they'll be happy.
Never mind the economy or the tens of thousands of people who have lost their jobs.

They really are a shower and should be removed asap.

They currently have a pension payment 'holiday' Not sure when it is due to expire.
In addition BA have the ability to 'Lay Off' cabin crew for up to 6 months on no pay.

No doubt the Hedge funds who are shorting them suggested the article to the Mail .

well, I guess they are waiting until after the market closes for the announcement.
I can only hope I am wrong BUT generally Friday afternoon announcements AFTER close are not good news.
BOJO consistently disappoints....I just hope that he doesn't this time.

I'll set out measures to simplify international travel later today in order to reduce costs, take advantage of higher levels of vaccination, and keep us all safe.
