You don't need to tell me! At present I'll be hurt more by a rise in the ftse than a big drop here. 2/3rd hedged in XUKS. Swapped out of SUK2 at 4pm on Friday thank god!

Drowns, I don’t want it to stop a fall. I fully want to fill my boots tomorrow when every panicked amateur investor is dropping their holdings in this Stirling company.

I will be filling my boots below 250 I hope.

I don't know how this can stop share prices falling given the headline stats but cheap credit now reduced the liklihood of a bailout. Happy with this.

As I said earlier, they will not want flights to be suspended for longer than required.
I doubt it will be months. My guess 4 - 6 weeks but it is only a guess.

It will be impossible to wait until there are no cases worldwide before resuming flights.

Fed also adds £700bn of a sort of QE at the same time to help liquidity in the derivative markets.

The plumbing of the financial markets is complex and too complicated for most of us to understand.

Just read the full US FED announcement and action combined with ALL the major World Central Banks...this is quite a huge support and appears to be open-ended for this virus issue to be under more effective or complete control. The condition of the global economics has to be protected/sustained. Hopefully this will help the markets at least stabilize tomorrow...timing of decision was urgent and critical...thanks loganair for the prompt.

Let the idiots believe that every industry is going to be bailed.
Pure fantasy.
Let them all fail. Never too big to go under.

The Dutch, German, Swiss and Italian governments have all recognised the economic need to have a National airline and are therefore instigating some form of rescue packages for their National airlines.
