This is begging to have the beginnings of 1929 markets crashes. Share bought with leverage, record high asset prices / debt levels. Won't be long till we see people jumping from buildings after losing their wealth.

You want an independent Brexit Britain

The chancellor is borrowing 600b to invest in the economy

Current economical growth about to fall and Cos begin to fail.

Consequence - massive unemployment and no tax revenues from corporates and businesses or working ppl.

They have to bailout Cos to keep workforce in jobs

BREAKING Scandinavian Airlines to suspend all flight operations:

Due to the coronavirus and the measures implemented by national authorities, the demand for air travel is essentially non-existent. SAS has therefore decided to put most of its operations on hold, starting Monday March 16 and until necessary prerequisites for commercial air traffic returns.

To support our customers, we will in the next few days do our utmost to uphold a certain level of operation to enable travelers to return from their destinations.

Stop with your own self interests. Let this go to the wall. It deserves to with years of mismanagement, doesn’t it?
More importantly where’s the humanity. Now 35 dead and all you and the government are interested in is protecting your own wealth and pension pots.

In the main bank bondholders were bailed out, there was a huge row about senior and junior debt and the Govt paid up.

They may have changed the rules for bonds following that, i haven't kept up, i am sure bondholders will want compensated, that's why they buy bonds.

Administration would be the answer i think.

If you were going to bail one airline out it would be IAG.

Following the already announced staff reductions, airBaltic will in the upcoming days be in continued discussions with our staff and unions on details, how the new situation will affect the employment and future of our employees.

It going to get bailed out when the share price has crashed. Looks at banks for example - bailed out only when shareholders have have lost their savings etc.

Do you think the govt want to be seen helping share and bond holders? Absolutely not!

Germany will close its borders with France, Austria and Switzerland from Monday, according to the German newspaper Bild.

Closing of the border was not only to contain the Covid-19 epidemic but also to prevent panic bulk purchases by foreigners which was apparently causing supply problems in areas around the borders.

The Italian government is close to taking full control of Alitalia.

The government would take control of both Alitalia’s aviation and land operations through a public vehicle, the report said, adding the plan would be implemented “in a short time”.

Daily La Repubblica to day said Rome was planning an immediate intervention in favour of the air transport industry worth 500 million euros followed by other measures worth 3 billion euros, which would help nationalize Alitalia.

well, the sooner all of this is dealt with the better.
A tough, speedy response, rather than a slow, drawn out approach.
