does IAG make more profit than Ryanair? if so why is IAG's valuation lower than Ryanair's? [I think the last time I read Ryanair makes about 1 billion profit]

Monty. If IAG are 90% hedged, short term fluctuation downwards in oil price will prove a disadvantage to less hedges airlines, as they are more nimble with the dynamic lowering of oil price.
Y9u should read your posts regarding oil prices, you say oil going down is good, you say oil going up is good?????

Shell has based its future earnings targets on a Brent oil price of $60/b, underpinned by new, lower-cost upstream oil and gas projects set to take its average upstream breakeven to $30/b from about $40/b currently.

..................................................................................................................

i ask

Have breakevens changed much since August and does it better due oil majors such as
Shell and miners such as Glencore covering al and sundry by trading and hedging

EDIT

who does IAG use to do their hedging,Shell,Glencore or some other lucky company

Looks like Brent Oil going below $60 later today $60.25 at the moment always nice to see Brent below $60 for every airline. Oil 25% of airlines costs.Short Oil shares long airlines could be the trade.

My dear,

Secretly, the wise man and the fool both have the same number of thoughts on occasion. But the wise man (in his wisdom), realizes that all thoughts are not meant to be spoken.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.

The wise men realize that thoughts that help others through being said are the only thoughts that should generally be shared. Be they funny or intelligent thoughts.

Incomplete thoughts, and those that do nothing but try to inflate your own ego have no place in the wise-man’s mouth. Leave those to the fools, and let only wonder be uttered from your lips.

Be wise. Speak less; speak better.

Falsely yours,
Plato

Monty. If you think airlines going to the ww2 is in anyway a good sign for IAG and the sector then you are very much mistaken.

Forget these bias articles for bears. I spoke to real BA ground staff at check in. I said your lucky 90% off flights. They said problem is we are on standby, with TC gone bust, we can’t get a seat, due to planes being full. Rather believe them, then some writer. Believe who you want.

It’s big cake and BA getting their slice, when I spoke to ground staff at check in, I said your lucky 90% off price of flights, she said problem is we are on standby, we can’t get a seat since TC went bust, all seats gone.

Balpa overplayed their hand on strikes. Ryanair told some pilots take a year unpaid leave. No wonder Balpa called off strikes, they are scoring own goals. Glut of pilots looking for jobs.https://www.mirror.co.uk/money/ryanair-pilots-told-take-unpaid-20234772

Of course but three airlines bust in a week. Walsh said more on there way.TC had to sell 3 million holidays to survive. Those passengers will look elsewhere.Like I said more pilots on the dole. Balpa called off strikes, they low their power diminishing every week.IAG no doubt the best run airline company, 3 billion profit incredible.
