I’m no longer holding IAG , I sold out some months ago and switched to Aviva. Reason sold out was I felt ticket prices had peaked as had load factors I didn’t think share price would go anywhere even with superior results which proved to be the case.

whatsup......have you seen the CEO and CFO video on the Capital Markets day presentation.....absolutely awful. It is no wonder the share price is dropping.

A bigger look of complete disinterest by a CEO In the company he is meant to represent I have never seen before.
Time for a replacement .

Not a great day here. A few days back I read American inflation is improving due in part to Airline ticket prices coming down . They suggested it was due to higher capacity in aviation.

What's the point of meeting investors when they state this before the meeting. An extract from their rns.IAG's outlook for the full year 2023 remains unchanged. There will be no discussion of current and future trading.

I think as you know theres the falllout of covid and that debt still in the background plus premium traffic still not where they want it that holds it back not to mention the global politics situ but that said the revenue trend is still positive re Q3. Out of all the above for me when we see premium traffic rising it will have the biggest impact. Just hope hybrid working reduces a little too.

Yes excellent day for airlines in States . share price back to where it was around June. Oil is priced in USD so Dollar going down is good for European aviation.
I'd like to be wrong on airlines prospects but with excellent recent results share price going nowhere I'm still doubtful .

The main concern right now is Iceland volcanic activity. That needs to behave

What's up . Just want to politely say in any one year there are issues around the world and re routing is common place. Those routings simply are not premium traffic routes at all. They make up a tiny tiny percentage of the network schedule. Now if we saw JFK and the states in general plus OZ and SA and mainland Europe that would be a diff story. So just politely trying to keep things rationale in the bigger picture

IAG may surprise us yet but there is a lot going against them.
No flights to Russia, Ukraine, Israel and reduced flights to Jordan and Egypt.
Flights to China and far East needing to circumvent Russian airspace.
Ticket prices have definitely peaked and I suspect LF too.
However all that should be in the price now.

NY Boy,It's hard not to love the Caribbean! In fact the longer it takes to get used to the slow service is an indication of how much you need the break!!IAG is solid, and I have a good chunk invested. It's a slow burn and one I'm now managing not to look at so often. It's also a trader, there's peaks and troughs to ride!I'm trying to balance my portfolio now. I didn't have the bottle to buy gilts, they're just a little too boring, for all that they are safe.I have plenty of AV. LGEN and a few Barc. In the perfect world I would balance all that risk with utilities; but with Labour coming and the threat of privatisation... I think maybe a Spanish oil company and a telecoms player in the EU or the US.I have recently traded MNG, as they're a reliable trader.

Finally back over my BE of 154 for the umpteenth time, roll on higher.

Looking forward to final results next, hopefully with a nod of a return to awarding long suffering shareholders a divi return.

Love Antigua been many times over the years, I was trying to buy the Blue Waters a long time ago but the British business msn didn’t want to sell, no idea if he or his family still owns it

Nevis was my fav many a boozy dinner party at Montpelier Plantation Inn, used to go to Pinneys Beach unspoiled back then now they have a luxury hotel, there, might be Four
Seasons

Nowadays is Asia in the winter.

This looks a buy now as (a) oil prices have dropped quite a lot mid $70’s (b) t bonds are rising, indicating low rates on the horizon (c) ES has popped out of the top of the long term down channel and looks like the start of a Santa rally for some equities, well run, strong management and low debts and positive cash flows.

Bitcoin constructive just broken out of a bull flag, rally up to SEC decision on Blackrocks ETF applications (game changer for Btc if approved)

All airlines up yesterday!? Hopefully a good sign.Fool had something a day or so ago about IAG, with their view it's the debt turning off the city.Internet is slow here, but pretty sure that is work in progress and it's coming along nicely?Does the Santa rally occur on El Niño?
