If the likes of us with a few quid to invest for a rainy day complain about high ticket prices imagine how those with a mortgage, 2 kids and a salary job feel.

Ticket prices cannot rise further . With inflation rising , economy falling , costs rising I do not see a brilliant future for airlines.

Results were very good but as Ron said its the forward you need to look at.

Interesting! Personally I'd wait or at least skyscanner it.Whilst I like BA, there's a bigger loyalty to my bank balance

The price im getting quoted is that price in June. So worried that it might go up more people won't be able to afford to travel with these prices.

teamwork 1, hold fire! These sales they have are reactive to bookings. Spitfire probably knows a bit more about how far ahead they look before they react to low booking numbers (the flash sales).I have a holiday I want to book for my family, but it's currently twice what I paid this June. Patience is key, just don't fold too early!

You have made a lot of good calls here Rongetsrich. Living up to your username.

Far better poster than some of the blinkered numpties that frequent here.

It's that verbal hash, the word expect. Read hope. From March I said Q3 was the one, and they did/ done good.Market sentiment and cheap money starting to roost were not understood back then.I'm all booked up til June next year so I get the forward bookings thing, but I'm of an age where I don't use credit, my kids have mortgages so I can see why the economy is two-geared.

We expect forward bookings to be "good".

That is why share price took a hit in otherwise superb results.

With uncertainties over oil , ME , rising costs and inability to raise ticket prices further, I don't expect airlines share price to fly.

Today proves that the market is indeed forward looking. The market doesn’t like the Middle East situation.

Congratulations on the good results though.

Great results. Never doubted it really and onwards and upwards. Lets hope a certain poster is chilling and can stop overthinking all the time.

Clearly, when at capacity you cannot assimilate information.Let's park it there as you single phase, and a bit naive in ways of the world. You should hope I'm wrong... I do.

To be clear I never said Israel are not going all in. Ofcourse they will send the troops in and ofcourse there are uncertainties how this will play out but there's little chance it will escalate with Iran imo and many others. USA have their carriers their for that very reason to deter. Its all politics and power plays.

Oh dear. You get terribly paranoid Ron and dramatic. Chill out. Drugs can do that so hope that's not the reason.

Wrong again Ron re up ticking. Pretty sad thing to do or think of another. Listen up Iran won't join in. You're getting taken in as dont seem to understand the politics in this industry being genuinely honest. Iran have to talk the talk . Think about it. They want to stay in power and Raisi knows to not speak out for fellow Arab country would be suicide . He also know to act would be complete suicide. Hope that makes sense

Listen in, and stop up ticking yourself. What happens when Iran joins? Simple question, for your simple mind!
