02/4/2020 13:33 | Thank you ccr....I do note that they are proposing the allocation of all the profit for fiscal year 2019 (except the amount already paid as interim dividend) to the voluntary reserve. This may indicate they will look at another tax free special payment at some time in the future | m1k3y1
02/4/2020 13:28 | ccr....has this been announced or are you just saying it ? | m1k3y1

02/4/2020 12:45 | The problem with IAG is stock traders get caught in a value trap. I know all shares may go up and down but airlines are high risk. Please do your own research as always, | qantas
02/4/2020 12:44 | People have got too used to living to an average age of 83. Sorry but if you look at pension contributions as a percentage of GDP it’s obvious to see that one generation in particular didn’t put enough in the pot whilst accumulating massive wealth. This is nature’s way of correcting the imbalance. We don’t have a global emissions problem, we have a too many people on the planet problem. We cannot allow future generations prospects to be compromised as a result of squeamishness about this. If you have ever been to a country with hyper inflation, 2-3 year olds out on the streets you will know what I mean. If the boomers want to get together now and offer up means testing of state pensions, means testing of TV licences and make an additional contribution to their take from the NHS I would be fully in support of a prolonged shutdown. Except that won’t happen as that generation in particular are a bunch of selfish so and so’s that will prefer the rest of us to face retirement well into our 80s to protect their way of life. | smithys2019
02/4/2020 12:42 | TBF....no doubt you will feel the same when they are looking after you in NHS Nightingale . | m1k3y1
02/4/2020 12:38 | hhh1 - indeed £2500 per month for watching Netflix seems overly generous to me. | the big fella

02/4/2020 12:04 | ham....the pension contributions would come from BA and employees. In addition, UK GOV will be getting back 20% of the 2500 in tax. So,yes...you are being cold hearted. BTW..BA sending a repatriation flight to Lima today . | m1k3y1
02/4/2020 11:52 | Happy to accumulate more here for a 50-100% return over the next 6-12 months, no rush, I have done the same with BP right down to 220p’s, up 60%+ so far and a long way to go there, buy multi national blue chip stocks when others are fearful and crying on the kerb side | ny boy
02/4/2020 11:46 | I would have thought the gov giving people upto 2500 a month for the next few months is quite generous. Asking for pension contributions as well for these few months seems like they asking for a lot??? Or am I being cold hearted? | hamhamham1
02/4/2020 09:29 | Correct milky, no mention of money on sky news... | ccr1958
02/4/2020 09:18 | Monty....the unions are asking for the 2500 to be pensionable as UK GOV hasn't specified. This seems fair to me, as normal pay would be pensionable. BA resisting , as they would have to make a pensionable contribution. | m1k3y1
02/4/2020 09:15 | Smithy.......so you're not interested in protecting their way of life then.....just your own. | m1k3y1

02/4/2020 08:58 | Got to laugh, staff can get up to 2500 pm, from the gov, unions saying they want more on Sky news. | montyhedge

02/4/2020 08:18 | If 1/3 of costs are staff and 1/3 of costs are fuel, then costs have come down greatly. Cancelling the divi is a must. | hamhamham1 |
