paa.....I think he has said 12 weeks to give people something to look forward to.
If it gets to week 11 and it looks like it will take longer, he will say so at that time.
Although it is based on countries that are ahead of us , such as China.

I think Boris just made up the 12 week thing. Did you notice how when a journalist asked a question about it, Boris answered and the scientists were reluctant to engage.Read that whole BBC piece I just linked to.Says waiting for a vaccine is not a strategy.Trying to suppress it could mean it takes two years for herd immunity to emerge.By which time whole world economy has been crashed. In my opinion,,only option is to let nature take its course. Harsh, but all over in a few months. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51963486

From the BBC website today." But even if the number of cases starts to fall in the next three months, then we will still be far from the end.It can take a long time for the tide to go out - possibly years. It is clear the current strategy of shutting down large parts of society is not sustainable in the long-term, the social and economic damage would be catastrophic. What countries need is an "exit strategy" - a way of lifting the restrictions and getting back to normal. But the coronavirus is not going to disappear. If you lift the restrictions that are holding the virus back, then cases will inevitably soar."We do have a big problem in what the exit strategy is and how we get out of this," says Mark Woolhouse, a professor of infectious disease epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh."It's not just the UK, no country has an exit strategy." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51963486

Being reported that in the Unites States next weeks new claims for unemployment will be the highest on record at over 2 million.

Also being reported if the situation doesn't get any worse in Germany then the German GDP will fall by 2% for the year while Italy's GDP may fall as much as 15% for the year.

More than priced in don't you think? And the point is governments will help them. Can you imagine no airlines existing? No me either...

I would not be buying airline stocks at the moment as I think there will be another leg down.

If at any time pictures we see coming out of Northern Italy come out of any where in the United States I can see the Dow falling quickly to 10,000.

NZ bailout terms were harsh if you look at it. 9pc interest rising if not paid back in a year. Option to convert to equity at request of the government.

@nw99. Thanks for update. I have pasted the extract from moneyweek but don’t get as it says AVOID with a price 334p. Do I believe that when it was published price was 334p hence avoid at 334p or they are are saying it will go to 334p but we just avoid buying ? Sorry chief just need some input from you or could someone look into

IAG
The Times
Based on leverage and cash, the airline group shouldn’t be in jeopardy. But suspended, reduced and cancelled flights will hit profits and revenues as tourism and business travel worries abound and look to be long-lasting. Avoid. 334p.

Sitting in sidelines here, I do not think the blood leering has completed yet, 50p quite possible in these crazy markets.
