ham......there really needs to be a centrally co-ordinated approach to all countries dealing with this problem. I don't understand this piecemeal approach with different countries adopting different tactics.

waikenchan.......what do you mean 'we'....you aren't invested in IAG.
Oh and if you don't think it is a strong company , then you aren't going to invest any time soon, I would guess.

Im just wondering how this a "strong airline", just wondering I am missing something - granted we aren't in the same position as Norwegian.?

I'm not convinced ebita is a good measure of earnings. At the end of the day what is important is cash / or equivalents - this will be a liquidity issue in the short term.

Edinburgh Airport has warned that it is potentially facing the scenario of receiving no passengers in the next three months because of coronavirus. In a statement released on Friday, a spokesman for the airport said: "We are facing an unprecedented situation, looking at the potential of three months of zero or close to zero passenger demand."We have spent the last few weeks looking at how we deal with the immediate and longer term effects and unfortunately that means taking some extremely tough decisions as the industry continues to react."More than 100 jobs at the Scottish airport are said to be at risk.

The fact is everyone knows it's a temporal issue. But you may well get it. Hope so! Powder ready.

Ok, well see you in a few months when you are invested then.

I was referring to the EBITDA figures for a 3 month closure.
AA and IAG two completely different companies.

No, I assume you mean the estimates for 2020 - there is no way you can maintain those estimates.

Still overvalued for me.

I am not invested, but there is just no enough margin of safety just now! Will be looking to get in with a p/b ratio of around <0.8 (currently 1.09), ie at least a 20% drop.

Gearing IAG is 69%, according to advfn. As a comparison, American airline's gearing is 40% and there are rumours of them filing for bankruptcy again!

Dividend the next thing for the chop - all about cash preservation now.
