06/1/2009 09:30 | IT looks like alot more work in australia is on the way. Thales boosts security offers in Australia Thursday, 13 November, 2008 Thales, a leader in information and communication systems security, has formed a new cryptography team in Australia. The team will deliver enhanced products, services and support to a wide range of financial services, government, defence and enterprise customers, as well as critical infrastructure 4th bit of information down. | ![]() igoe104
06/1/2009 09:07 | Looks like japan are coming to the market place now, and need igp help. Govt to review biometric immigration control system. ps That was my first thinking as well wcjj, but could they have been involved in this first. (It also builds on the company's previous success providing access control solutions for the headquarters of a leading local retail group, ) | ![]() igoe104
05/1/2009 21:32 | Thales Safesign has MyID integrated into it. It is likely this is the first Australian contract win they were referring to in the July update. | ![]() wjccghcc
05/1/2009 17:24 | Thales is also providing card readers, (card management software) and specialised smartcard printers. Does that card management software, mean igp involvement, its still unclear at the moment, you would expect the project to work with a data-base. The problem with igp, is that the projects are mainly government security projects, so they we can,t expect them to make any annoucements, unless other parties make any annoucements first, its just the nature of the business we are involved in. I expect igp to be involved in alot more global government projects, we must be working on around 15 projects soon, id expect us to be involved in 40/50 projects in the next few years, all this work-load will be to much for igp to handle and i expect a major to buy igp out. and £1.50 + would be ok. | ![]() igoe104
05/1/2009 16:43 | Does this mean IGP are not involved in the Queensland deal with Thales???? | ![]() 237gmoney
05/1/2009 16:42 | I guess we will come up with the same result with ActivIdentity | ![]() 237gmoney
05/1/2009 09:46 | you cant patent ID systems they are decades old. | kent_paul
05/1/2009 09:03 | Kent, If its so easily replicated why have they not done it already??? At 99% margins, would you not have already done it if it was that easy..... I think you will find the reason why they havent is because Intercede have patents on their products and from the last time i looked it was 14 years before someone else could replicate what you have patented. Hence thats why no one else has copied Intercede Group yet. Rather than replicate what Intercede have done, Oracle will probably just buyout Intercede Group as its much easier...then they get the patents as well. | ![]() 237gmoney
04/1/2009 21:58 | "Under the terms of these contracts with local integrators in the respective countries, Intercede has received initial aggregate payments of $0.3m and purchase orders for a further $1m. An additional $0.5m of sales revenue is anticipated from these projects during Intercede's current financial year, with further revenues expected in future periods." this is the type of revenue i would see as consistent with a replicable software package given the alleged size of these contracts. if the market gets going oracle or another group and easily write a software package and run IGP out of business before putting the prices up, no? i mean electronic ID software is not patentable. | kent_paul
04/1/2009 18:43 | Don,t forget the 2 id project wins as well, which will involve millions. | ![]() igoe104
04/1/2009 18:40 | thought i would revisit this one. seems they picked up a 'contract' with lockheed. but the RNS is deliberately written to imply that all Lockheed employees will get the card, when a careful reading of the text simple states there are 140k lockheed employees. does anyone know how many employees will use this card? 100 on a classified research project? 50 in their london office marketing dept? ???? the RNS was devoid of expected unit sizes or revenues..... the company is doing $4m a year turnover, and yet only described the lockheed contribution as 'material', which implies to me less than 5% revenue increment. hardly stuff to get out of bed for. | kent_paul
02/1/2009 17:26 | Market that we are in involved in will treble over the next 3 years. Big contract up for grabs. | ![]() igoe104
31/12/2008 12:24 | Looks like e-passports is the way forward, lets for alot igp involvement. With the accession to the European Union, Romania has also assumed the obligation to put biometric passports into circulation. surely they will need software to work with a data-base. Im reading they are going global. | ![]() igoe104
30/12/2008 13:27 | LATEST NEWS ON THE frac project. With FIPS 201 in place, common access cards are now spreading outside the federal government and the first foray has been in state and local emergency management solutions. In this space FEMA efforts have led to the First Responder Authentication Credential to accurately identify emergency responders In 2009, common access card programs will get another chance to conquer the enterprise market due to the government's drive to implement PIV cards for all employees and contractors, the availability of standards and compatible products, the spread of standards beyond the federal government to state and local entities as well as government-linked enterprises. Most importantly, security convergence will finally receive market traction. | ![]() igoe104
29/12/2008 14:59 | I take it all back! At least KBC (Peel Hunt) can manage a closer price. With someone selling 10k at 26p they managed to pass 15k on to me at 28p!!!!! | aphrodites
