Must be a delayed reaction to Howdy's buy last week then....unless a buyer is out there and the MM's want a bit more stock....Fair point about the directors buying WJ.....

What happened to the UKID card contract announcements in May????

Ram,

Re-reading my post it sounds terribly bitter and twisted - I think that was probably more a function of my tiredness last night than of my feelings about the matter.

You make a good point.

kind regards,

G.

ram - ....and that is a lesson well remembered in times like the present when looking at companies that are not yet in profit and likely to need more cash.

hi garth,

fair point, but they listed at 60p at the back end of the tech boom and didn't raise the money they needed. The boom busted and they needed cash. I was already a small shareholder and v unhappy at the placing price, but in retrospect it did the job and kept them going. Subsequently i have learnt that raising money for a loss making business during mkt downturns is more difficult than i then imagined.

'cause from memory they bought plenty in a pretty exclusive and discounted 2003 placing at 7p having presided over a fall from the flotation price of 80p just 2 years earlier........

'twas just a little before I bought my first IGP.

and unlike many i could name, they don't award themselves buckets of share options (indeed none at all) when the price drops.

Probably because they own nearly 25% already and don't exactly pay themselves a lot.

I have no idea any more.

We should have seen something from the speculation 2 months ago. Strange that it died away.

It's a funny 'ol game.....my guess is there will be a late trade declared at 2.30am or something....Probably bartronics getting ready for their xmas buyout...either way may be an interesting end to the week.....

...watch this space.....oh and another thing.....how come none of the directors never buy the stock when it falls?? other directors buy in when stock is cheap....why not our directors?

Hello.....seems the volcano has awoken.....I guess the AGM is coming up....perhaps a RNS to let us know it took place this year?

Is anyone going......maybe you could ask them if they could update us when they have a new contract rather than telling us of 10 new ones in the yr end results....seems every other company in the LSE does it that way, so why be different? hasnt worked so far....

of minor interest (as have relationships with both of them):
Lloyds TSB has joined the IdenTrust identity scheme and will provide its
corporate banking customers IdenTrust digital identities to deliver strong
authentication capabilities for users accessing BACSTEL-IP systems and for
the digital signing of BACS transactions. In addition to joining the
IdenTrust identity scheme, Lloyds TSB has engaged IdenTrust to provide a
fully managed hosting service for the bank's high assurance identity
requirements...

Boadicea,

I believe that the firewalled MULTOS OS that SMRT were pushing was more more secure than Phillips mifare and that was it was felt to be better suited to biometrics etc. They grey cells fade a little now though....

YES thats good news, it just means smartcards are going to have to be more secure, which should play into igp hands.
