12/12/2007 14:56 | Looks like thailand are having a national id card, we have done work for the thai government before if i can remember, so they must be a slight chance of an involvement, depending on how much details they want built into these cards. | igoe104
12/12/2007 13:03 | Armshare updated their report yesterday, giving a very brief summary of the results. They say, "An updated broker note is in the course of preparation." | accumulat0r
12/12/2007 02:00 | I still suspect I'll be able to top-up under 30p. We all want the shares to go up, but you have to face reality, and that is that market sentiment sucks right now! :0) | taurusthebear
11/12/2007 15:47 | Can't but agree with the above posts - these results seemed like a very good progression to me. Profitable! And with excellent cash in hand! How many so-called "blue sky" small caps can say that on a relatively small m/cap? I think these results will cause some interest, though a better overall market would have seen a better instant reaction. I don't have spare AIM-targeted funds at present so am happy for the price to drift till I do. | rivaldo
11/12/2007 15:44 | Am surprised the results did not create more interest in the market today???? firdt ever profit and hardly anybody has taken a look? | 237gmoney
11/12/2007 11:08 | jailbird, yes they're working with a number of different partners for the ID card (I think someone told me 6 or 7). The zdnet article is about the primary contractors shortlist which will be reduced to 5 from 8 by May next year. However, the IPS has made it clear they want to mandate use of a certain technology suppliers irrespective of which primary contractors are used. Given they want as much of the work as possible done in the UK and IGP is the most advanced and widely deployed biometric CMS here, then 2008 could be interesting. | wjccghcc
11/12/2007 11:04 | prob not relevant, but noted that... DALLAS, December 11 /PRNewswire/ -- - Kingdom sought trusted vendor for national ID project, e-government rollout to protect 27 million citizens The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strategic e-government initiative needed a strong security foundation to instill trust in its more citizen-centric environment -- especially as it rolled out its new national ID card initiative. To address this challenge, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) standardized on two solutions from Entrust, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENTU) in conjunction with Entrust local partner Moammar Information Systems. MCIT will leverage Entrust Authority PKI and Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server for encryption, digital signatures and authentication capabilities to underpin its national ID project, as well as secure e-mail... | rambutan2
11/12/2007 10:41 | ID cards scheme: Potential suppliers named i know this is a little old..but it says by may 2008 i will be shortened to 5 suppliers from 8. | jailbird
11/12/2007 10:28 | Well well, A profit. That was unexpected. TWIC upto 6m cards which could be £5m+ depending on exchange rates.....everything seems to going in the right direction but also The delivery of a new version of MyID to RSA Security for incorporation in a major product release of RSA Card Manager will be interesting to see...... and The establishment of a new partner agreement with Secure Services Corporation, a US Healthcare provider is bigger than we think.....SSC is rolling out healthcard scemes in NY and other states. this could be a big one. Guess the new US chick is doing something after all.... Nice work Richard (and the results are out a little early which is an improvement.....hope | 237gmoney
11/12/2007 10:15 | Oberthur Card Systems and Intercede Team to Enable National ID Card System is this demo happening. This demonstrator is a response to the UK Government's declared intent to introduce a National ID Card scheme, and has been designed to allay fears that such a scheme will be too complex and expensive. The system will use Intercede and Oberthur Card Systems standard products and services configured for the requirements of the National ID scheme. This will be demonstrated in September 2005 and will be ready for immediate deployment with full production capacity. | jailbird
11/12/2007 08:50 | For completeness: LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Intercede Group PLC swung to a first-half profit on the back of good sales, and said its long-term growth potential has never been stronger. For the six months to end-Sept, the smart card and identity management software maker made a pretax profit of 45,000 stg against a loss of 314,000 stg the same time last year. Revenues rose 28 pct to 1.546 mln stg, resulting in an operating profit of 90,000 stg, against an operating loss of 264,000 stg a year ago. Cash balances rose to 1.6 mln stg as at Sept 30 against 0.4 mln stg the same time last year. The company said its financial and operational performance leaves it "very well placed" to exploit a growing global market for identity and smart card solutions. | wjccghcc
11/12/2007 08:23 | i'm expecting 2008 to be a very important year...there is so much going on in what IGP could get involved on. | jailbird
11/12/2007 08:16 | garth, the RSA license fee was $2mm over 3 years, so $2 per card in the offset. That will probably rise after the first million cards since RSA would have got a discount for committing 2 years ago. Lots of good points in the results: 1. Sales +28% with margins of 99%. That's without any benefit from TWIC and very little from HSPD-12. 2. +ve cashflow with net debt almost eliminated and a profit! 3. Costs flat - looks like they're sufficiently staffed to support the partner network going forward. 99% of any sales increase will be profit. 4. TWIC up to 6mm cards - at a minimum of $2 per card, that's £5mm and may well be higher if the RSA fee is higher after the first 1mm cards 5. Another large HSPD-12 federal agency contract bringing us closer to Verisign. 6. MyID now the central convergent ID management tool for RSA, Thales and Oracle. Hopefully Verisign in development. 7. Activity at an all time high. The negative points: 1. HSPD-12 rollout still slow. 2. The first 1mm TWIC cards offsettable against the RSA $2mm license fee. However IGP will still get the annual maintenance revenue. 3. Usual caution on contract timing for the full year results. | wjccghcc
11/12/2007 08:00 | Administrative expences seem well under control as well. Plenty of cash in the bank should future revenues be a bit delayed. All looks very promising to me. Spose I'd better go to work gggggrrrrr. | smartmoney100
11/12/2007 07:51 | well i'm very happy with thtt..did not expect a profit. they are being cautious here As in previous years, the full year outcome will be dependent upon our partners being able to close long sales cycle contracts in a timely fashion. ..which has been the case , so nothing new there. from previous results ,dependency on long sales cycle contracts is being reduced, i think they said they account for 20% revenues. anyhow further deals always possible from now on...and we know outlook for next year onwards is gonna be great...the mkt will eventally start to see this and will price in IGP looking ahead. | jailbird
11/12/2007 07:30 | Showing a profit - which seems to be a surprise. But it comes on the back of £500K up-front costs on TWIC to be off-set against the first 1m cards issued..... 50p a card? They are hopeful of up to 6m cards. That could be a nice £2.5m yet to come at a whopping 99% margin. But will it come, and if so when? If the production doesn't ramp up mega-quickly will we see a negative second half? Any thoughts folks? G. | garth
11/12/2007 07:29 | Here it is, boys and girls! SUMMARY - 28% increase in sales to #1.6m (2006: #1.2m). - Gross margin rose to 99% (2006: 98%). - Operating profit of #0.1m (2006: Operating loss of #0.3m). - Cash balances rose significantly to #1.6m at 30 September 2007 (30 September 2006: #0.4m). - Delivery of MyID technology as the smart card management system for the US Transport Workers Identity Card (TWIC), which has the potential to result in the issue of more than 6 million new identity cards. - Further development of MyID for existing and new partners including RSA Security, Thales e-Security, Oracle and Secure Services Corporation. - Contract wins via a variety of partners in the US and Europe. Richard Parris, Chairman & Chief Executive of Intercede, said today: "Our financial and operational performance leaves us very well placed to exploit a growing global market for identity and smart card solutions. There has been a number of significant achievements during the period, providing further evidence that our partnering strategy is providing many different routes into a growing market. The level and pace of customer and partner activity is at an all time high and I remain confident that the long term growth potential for Intercede has never been stronger." Looks good to me. Margins up to 99% now, can't realistically get any higher! :0) | taurusthebear
10/12/2007 11:14 | WJ wont be far wrong but will be interesting to see is what the company has done since the end of September as well.....HSPD12 was supposed to have a deadline on 27th Oct and TWIC has started rolling out as well as FRAC cards so IGP could give a good write up on all of these. Some news on the NHS stuff and other bits could lift the share price as at the moment we do not know what possible projects IGP are going for in the medium term that we havent already read about in the press/net etc.... | 237gmoney
10/12/2007 10:39 | WJ thanks for your thoughts... if you are correct i suppose the share price will show little movement?? | 4graham
10/12/2007 10:27 | thursday's my guess. I reckon a H1 loss of around 200k with positive cashflow and an upbeat outlook. They should be profitable from H2 onwards (subject to advance costs on any major project wins). | wjccghcc
10/12/2007 08:35 | i guess historically results will be this week..probably thursday or friday. | jailbird
06/12/2007 16:38 | Guess that the next 7k will....has gone very quiet here when we expect the results out next week but then we have an idea what they will say so there should be no surprises | 237gmoney
06/12/2007 10:57 | surprised that 7k has not ticked it up. | jailbird
06/12/2007 09:42 | all gone quiet finally. time to fill your boots! | pyman |
