Although with an American accent NuThing would sound almost the way Brits would say NewThing. I think we all get the fact it's a play on the word New.

Yes, but Ward might prefer to have ALL that profit himself from an eventual takeover/trade sale, rather than having to share it with the remaining 80%+ of shareholders. So if sales don't grow quite as quickly as everyone hopes (or costs escalate on the way to achieving this), but Ward sees things still picking up longer term, a cheeky buyout offer can't be ruled out IMHO. Not saying it will happen (as a LTH I certainly hope it won't), but I think it's an outside possibility still, given Ward's rapid stakebuilding.

I doubt it. Ward and everyone else will make more money selling the company in a takeover at some point.

Ward was already by far the largest shareholder. Which bodes well, as judging by his past achievements, he's a very smart cookie. That said, I've respect for Octopus Investments too, who divested a big chunk of their holding last week. Puzzling why they'd do this now, when the share price looks like it's hit a low and is likely to rebound. Time will tell who's right I guess. My one concern - expressed many times before - is that Ward might try a cheeky lowball offer to take the company private.

Happy to be proved wrong, in which case I apologise. But in general, always best to ignore other posters' alleged trades and to make up your own mind based on fundamentals.

ace ventura11 - As I pointed out to beetroot juice on 6 Sept, you can look up all IDP's share trades on the London Stock Exchange at: Just as his alleged 100,000 share buy on 3rd was never recorded, neither is your alleged 100,000 share buy at around 8.10am this morning. In short, I'd urge all readers to completely ignore any posts claiming to have bought or sold shares (especially larger quantities). That said, I DO think IDP is a decent bet at the current price. But as with any share - and possibly more than some - it remains a gamble.
