05/5/2021 07:26 | No RNS yet "confirming the final quantum and number of shares to be raised pursuant to the Placing once the bookbuild is closed." Are they having difficulty getting the first placing away? Sometimes these confirmations come within hours | typo56
04/5/2021 16:59 | How else is John Wood going to give himself another massive bonus this year for delivering all that shareholder value? Wait until they have to actually pay for Appledore later this year, that's when you will see the serious dilution. :-) | terminator101
04/5/2021 14:49 | It's a pity ordinary PI's are only getting a 30% slice of this fund raising and get diluted by those able to take part in the placing. Existing holders will be able to apply for shares in excess of their 1 for 6 minimum entitlement. How many shares they receive will be dependent upon how many open offer shares aren't subscribed for. At the moment the shares are still trading cum-entitlement, meaning shares bought today will qualify for the open offer. They go ex tomorrow. | typo56
04/5/2021 12:13 | Having dipped my toe in the water at 47.5p less than 3 weeks ago, I feel a little foolish on finding that I have lost 1/3rd of my money already. Even so I am relieved to see this Placing and Open Offer as they must have been widely expected and I hope that shareholders will be invited to subscribe for extra shares on top of the 1 for 6 offered. | varies

28/4/2021 16:42 | "Ben Wallace, the Defence Secretary, recently stated that Rosyth would be building Tytpe 32 Frigates in addition to Type 31 Frigates. “We are committed to building the Type 26 in the United Kingdom; it is under construction on the Clyde. In Rosyth, work is ongoing to build the facility needed to build the Type 31s and the subsequent Type 32s. He also knows that I recently recategorised the future Fleet Solid Support ship as a warship. I intend to make sure that, if not entirely, there is a considerable degree of UK build in that process, subject to tender. I have to be cautious about the contract, because the competition is to begin soon—very soon.”" Hope H & W get the FSS ships work. Pity the EU are involved in NI though. Could make things difficult. | dafrog
27/4/2021 17:14 | It looks as if they're going to do the job themselves.(I suppose that way John Wood,CEO can have the final say) I suspect that the May Local Election may be a factor as to where government work ends up, with Independence being an issue in the Scottish Elections. | htrocka2

26/4/2021 13:01 | May I disagree? It is more likely that these people are hard to find, due to decades of misery in shipbuilding. We have to find the right people maybe from beyond oue shores while we attempt to restart this industry. | gunsofmarscapone
25/4/2021 11:29 | Are you forgetting Navantia? Never delivered a ship late apparently. Medium risk long term hold this. | gunsofmarscapone

24/4/2021 22:15 | Wonder where this will be built? The Times:Boris Johnson wants a new trade and investment ship to be named after the Duke of Edinburgh to help to "sell Britain to the world". The Ministry of Defence is drawing up plans for the vessel as a successor to the Royal Yacht Britannia as a lasting memorial to the duke. Ministers considered announcing the plans, named Project Leith after the port in Edinburgh where Britannia is permanently berthed, this week, after the duke's funeral a week ago. However, many of the key details - including the cost and who would crew it - remain unresolved. Internal government estimates suggest that it would cost more than £200 million. Ministers want to paint the Union Jack on the boat and the approval of Buckingham Palace would also be required. | ijamlon
