Hi Jay, are institutions allowed to buy up shares on behalf of others, is that a concert party and not allowed ??
My take is that they think IND are undervalued and believe they can sell them for a higher price ( a radical idea ??) . They may be an "activist" shareholder who makes something happen by pressurising the board.

Given the illquidity of this stock, I assume that as this regular buying hasnt moved the price up, there must be a ready supply of shares. Anyone owning up to selling ?

Disclosure : long IND

Well the price has been more or less constant whilst they have built this stake, at some stage it has to go up if they want to accumulate more. He says hopefully!

Could they perhaps be building a stake up for someone in preparation for a takeover bid ?

If only there was an industry award for Greatest Night Out Drinking (yes of course, the Scots would win it every year)

I just hope they haven't lost their touch with that old IP CCTV thingamajig

But they are Kiwi, because they see something good I would imagine, apparently a good trade show in America this last week, at least thats what the news on the offical site says.

Pistoria still buying. If it wasn't for them soaking up the sells, what would the price be...?

Those who enjoy meeting management will have the chance to put their questions to Marcus Kneen at the upcoming AIM Investor Focus event on 10 October.

In fact there are six companies presenting including IND in a fantastic line-up - the others being STAF, IDOX, ATUK, GOAL and MTEC.

May see some of you there?

kiwihope -

Usual jam tomorrow outlook
2013 H2 revenues +1%
2013 FY revenues +6%
2012 FY revenues +5%

plus factor in recent special dividend distribution of most of cash pile.

That sounds like a mature enough market to me.

I think there are people selling just because the price is falling. Not the most sensible thing to do unless you believe the price is not going to recover.

IND now have a PE of 12.5, yield of 3.8% (twice covered) and no debt. If they were in a mature market with minimal growth prospects I would think they were a bit over-priced.

However, financially they are in good shape and they are in a market that is growing fairly strongly. I know we've all said it before, they have the opportunity to grow at a reasonable pace along with it. They haven't done this yet really. IMO if you think they still have a chance to do this, hold or buy the shares. If you don't, sell. But don't sell just because the share price is falling.

I am still prepared to give the company the benefit of the doubt. There will come a time when I'm not and that's when I will sell up. But I understand how long restructuring can take and also how lumpy sales can be when you're selling large capital items. If they had secured that one large order we might all be thinking how great they're doing and the price may now be much higher. As long as they know why they didn't get the order and they're comfortable with that, and as long as they still have the chance of other big orders.

PS Best outcome here is probably for someone to come along and completely overhaul the senior management - if you're an activist investor who can pull together the right team, this might make an attractive target. So, the investment outcome might still be ok, but I'd rather not invest on that basis!

I sold my entire holding today - it's funny sometimes how selling out of a position can bring out a feeling of relief, so it was with IND! Bottom line is that I don't have confidence in the management to make the necessary business changes to turn this into a success. It's been an interesting/instructive (if not particularly financially rewarding) investment to have seen close up how a company seemingly with good technology in a new and growing market can fail to hit the jackpot, largely, it seems, due to a failure in sales and marketing. Possibly a a simplistic assessment, but this is the crux of the matter for me. Comparing Indigovision and e.g. Avigilon's websites show this in stark contrast: IND are selling the technology and the "cleverness"; Avigilon are selling business benefits. Night and day, IMO. Good luck all!

'Confident of the long term' - code for not so confident in the short to medium term often, imo.

Hi all,

It seems likely that IND will trade sideways for the foreseeable, unless there's an unexpected catalyst (=low ball bid ?), so I've sold my trading position and left the (larger, more patient) SIPP holding to run.

I share your disapointment crystal and sold half my holding today. I just feel its dead money leaving it in IND for yet another year. I've left half in as I'd kick myself if they were bought out now having been in IND for so many years. Now OV hasn't got his large personal holding scaring off potentail bidders -it may well happen.
