hxxps://www.dailywire.com/news/oxford-epidemiologist-heres-why-that-doomsday-model-is-likely-way-off
Professor Gupta lead a team of researchers at Oxford University in a modeling study which suggests that the virus has been invisibly spreading for at least a month earlier than suspected, concluding that as many as half of the people in the United Kingdom have already been infected by COVID-19.

"If this is the case, fewer than one in a thousand who’ve been infected with COVID-19 become sick enough to need hospitalization, leaving the vast majority with mild cases or free of symptoms."

"The Financial Times emphasized: “If the findings are confirmed by testing, then the current restrictions could be removed much sooner than ministers have indicated.”

“I am surprised that there has been such unqualified acceptance of the Imperial model,” Gupta criticized."

Clearly I haven't read that lot in full, but at first glance all seems very hunky dory.

Anyone else care to comment?

PS. I'm not sitting on anyone's face thank you chestnuts :-) Plus I am beginning to think that your comments about Coronavirus being with us for a long time, second waves and all that may now be looking to be a bit pessimistic. We shall see.

Quite possible unless they get their act together or gas futures go back up.

Buffet took his eye off the ball here. The only people who are gonna make money out of this are management and staff on outrageous packages. They'll keep on payin themselves until the coffers are empty. All the while talking it up until it's all over. Don't say you weren't warned.

Doesn't seem a surprising decision to me given the current gas prices.

Absolutely and this is one mgt team I'd ditch in a "merger" scenario.
Total amateur f up from a long long way back. IMHO.

With Mr Buffet in the background you have to expect someone like him to sod a management team about and drive a lower entry price.

There is such an overwhelming case for a number of these small oil/gas companies to merge...........its rationalising time in the North Sea.

Hey what more do u expect of this Muppet mgt?
This is one I got seriously wrong with regard to mgt "quality".
We should definitely hear by tomorrow either way it what's the point of drawing attention to the 27th Feb in the first place?

I think there will be a lot of cross faces here if they are delaying reporting bad news.

"By" 27th - am I to infer from that they have not then as would expect to see an rns confirming the point?
IOG seem to always "postpone" "bad" news and wait for some "good" news to offset?
The mgt here are a great disappointment especially the recent "non" dilutive cheapo options issued with such demanding pfmce criteria set!

I was always very concerned about certain appointments here after previous corporate f ups!
C'est la vie and as ever all imho!

A lot of selling on the run up to the 27th. Either a leak of the decision or a lot of cold feet.
