Oxford Cannabinoid adds Imperial Brands representative to board
The company also confirmed that Julie Pomeroy will take over as chair next month

Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies Holdings PLC (LSE:OCTP, OTCQB:OCTHF) announced several board changes today, including the appointment of Richard Hathaway as a non-executive director with effect from 1 February.

The cannabinoid pharmaceutical development company says Hathaway was nominated following an agreement between Oxford Cannabinoid and Imperial Brands Ventures Limited, a 10.87% shareholder, as its representative after the resignation of Bishrut Mukherjee in September 2021.

Hathaway is corporate development director at Imperial Brands, where he is responsible for leading mergers and acquisitions as well as other strategic initiatives.

He previously held a partner position at KPMG, where he was experienced in auditing and advising companies across a wide range of sectors.

"We are delighted to welcome Richard Hathaway to the board as our new non-executive director, where his own extensive financial and corporate experience will be of great benefit to the company,” said chief executive John Lucas.

The company also confirmed that Julie Pomeroy, currently an independent non-executive director, will step up to the role of non-executive chair with effect from 11 February.

Executive chairman Neil Mahapatra will step down from his current role but remain on the board as a non-executive director, as flagged in November.

Yep, includes divis. My lowest buy was £14.75 I think but I bought so many nearer £19 it didn't get my average price down much. Still, glad to have them now...

Top Stock Fund Merchants Bets on Dividends After 31% Gain in 2021

Merchants outperformed peers as dealmaking boosted stock picks

Dividend payers set to rally on low valuations, manager says

21 January 2022, 09:23 GMT

The Merchants Trust Plc is betting on big dividend payers to sustain one of the best stock fund performances in Europe.

High-yielding stocks offer tantalizing valuations and have been out of favor for such a long time that they’re ripe for a rally, according to Simon Gergel, who oversees the $1.1 billion fund. Imperial Brands Plc, GlaxoSmithKline Plc and Legal & General Group Plc are all among his top holdings.

I run these screens that check for high value stocks for every stock listed in London they used to be pages and pages long so you used to have to work through each stock in these large lists. Same screen now just outputs a handful of extreme dog stocks that's it no value left in the market. That's why they're buying tobacco everything else is overbought

And headline and first sentence of an IC Alpha screen just out:
Quality sin stocks and problem solvers
Our first Alpha quality screen of 2022 is topped by tobacco giant Imperial Brands (IMB), which out of all the FTSE All Share companies that doesn’t fail a test has the best combination of three-month share price momentum and operating margin.
