dontshout. I am confused how spread betting works then with a guaranteed stop.
If I bought 1000 shares for 100p each with a 15% spread. (deposit required is 15p ea or £150 for all)
If the share opens up the next day at say 30p - instead of losing 70p a share, you just lose your deposit of 15p a share, right?
So I lose just £150 not £700?

There's no guaranteed stop if it gaps. I learned the hard way.

You do need to be careful if you set too small a stop with a volatile stock like this. Although you can tweak the stop as the price drops if it isn't instant. By the way when you open an IG account you have to use guaranteed stops to start with. Some government legislation or other.

Lodge. Maybe listen to some here in that 15% is easily dropped looking at the share history and many have been burnt.
You decide on your levels after thought and they are movable.
This is by no way advice it's just observation.

I have taken a similar approach, guaranteed stops in around 80-90p. That way downside is covered if gaps down to sub 30p on negative results. If positive results will probably add more as I think could still be a long way to run until a takeover or licensing deal.

Just be carefull of any spikes down taking your stop out, then the share price recovers.
that can be costly, happened a few weeks back, but IG paid me back because
someone with fat fingers caused an abnormal drop.

lodgeview:a 15% stop loss does not protect you if the shares gap down.

sharedgain,

Please ask Tim in the Q&A or after,

- What other indications on the P140 platform IMM have the rights to (I would like a complete list) and what are their plans moving forward on P140?

Thanks.

P.S.
The placing RNS mentioned:

"ImmuPharma will apply these additional funds to support future investment in ImmuPharma's P140 peptide platform."

Obviously all are high value and some are worth potentially more than lupus.

Not so long back IG would not have let you put a G stop on this stock
but now by law they have to, may as well take advantage.

I've now received confirmation of my place at Monday's event.
As with my attendance at the ProActive Investors Event last November, I will share my my notes and thoughts after the event has concluded.
Assuming I can again secure a reasonable time with Tim at the end of the evening, I will ask questions directly. He was very obliging last time.
As with my attendance in November, I may additionally include a few well-considered questions proposed by sane contributors to this Board.
Post any suggestions on Sunday.
Cheers guys
SG

hamham you are correct but have you thought I may want to reduce my exposure and go with IG which would guarantee what my loss would be?

I just think it's a no brainer going with IG to set a guaranteed stop. Should PIII fail you would lose 15% of your investment on the gap down!

I can only go on what you post here.
You said you had nearly 20,000 shares and that was about 70% of your fund.
Anyway, ignore me.

Relax, invested, stock all paid for, going to enjoy the ride, tick tock, just 19 trading days (or less) before transformational phase 3 results!

Some good reasons to be quite excited
