Well well, another RNS another collaboration with BMW and Williams.

Georg Steinhoff, Head of R&D at BMW Group said “At BMW Group we have more than 13 years of automotive Battery cell development experience. Our Battery cell technology know-how is a key success factor in our electrification strategy, as it defines both operational performance as well as vehicle cost. The development of all solid-state batteries is an important and promising long term goal, to make future battery-electric vehicles even more sustainable and efficient. We are delighted to be part of Project HISTORY and to see the next developments in Ilika’s solid-state battery technology.”

Ilika’s technology :)

Another little tick up today. Will take time but I am hoping the worst is over and this will be the beginning of a new wave.

So is this the start of a new wave?

Last one took IKA into £2 and beyond. This will take time to determine but over the next year or so we could be looking at significant price above previous highs. Let’s see what the market does in the next few days. 63p anyone?

Had a quick look at Ceres Power tech transfer and licensing deals. They had upfront and milestone payments plus ongoing royalties. That type of structure would help IKA enormously

It seems others disagree. I think the Cirtec deal is a game changer here, removes a lot of risk and capex and maybe they can structure a licensing deal with some upfront $$. I also think an OEM supported grant deal for Goliath development is not far away. If that happens then the future looks a lot rosier

And a likely reduction in the rate of cash burn. Long timescales though before mass commercialisation.. esp. for medical implants.

Also OEMs likely to stump up much of the cash for Goliath B & C cells was a positive.

Oh dear. The investor presentation was incredibly stale. Only positive was that there will be grant funding ahead

So results, analyst meeting and investor presentation tomorrow. The results will be awful so market reaction could be negative. Analyst meeting will hopefully be a bit more positive. Investor meeting should be a difficult ride for the CEO, but news or hints on Goliath might save the day.

Robertspc,
Can you ask them why they’re dressing up a paid supplier as a strategic business partner?!?

Anyway, must rush.. I’m off to brief my Polish painter & decorator now about which colours to paint my bedroom.. ah, sorry, I mean I’m having a quarterly update with my international strategic partner & proprietary brand ambassador.

👎 silly boys

Different views make a market so fine by me. I remain a long term holder based on a risk reward basis as I think their tech will ultimately be worth more than currently valued. But management have made a lot of mistakes in the last 18 months contributing to losses for many especially since the 140p placing. Interesting update coming tomorrow, I will certainly be asking some difficult questions

Yet another example of opaque updates & shifty management, see my previous post.

Kenjen, I see your comment is totally devoid of any sense of the sheer volume of sells offloaded into this ramp.. ho hum, guess you’ll either learn to read the market *or* you’ll be another one of the 76% club. Best of luck

I thought Ilika's Road Map for Stereax was to licence out production only after their new 'fab' was working to capacity, and couldn't handle the huge backlog of demand they have supposedly built up.

I know they've had quality control issues with the fab which have delayed the ramping up of production, so is this MOU with Cirtec an admission that they're not actually capable of producing Stereax SSBs at a consistently high quality.. for the time being, at least?

ie.. is this actually bad news disguised as good news?

RogK,
Appreciate your balanced view, these newbies jumping on the back of the bandwagon think it’s never going to tip! Think people haven’t dyor / not realised that Ilika have failed to get the required commercial interest / backing or expertise required to develop their own tech in house and have commissioned Cirtec AND PAID THEM with grant money to R&D and to make this device. Feels like the last throw of the dice.. NOT the start of something great.

Cirtec make ALL their income from developing other people’s medical devices..the good, bad and indifferent devices.. They’ll develop anything..so, you want a new 3 octave carbon fibre electronic nose flute? No problem Sir… they still get paid by their customers (Ilika) if it works or not, doesn’t matter.

Cirtec are not a medical customer/partner, just an outsourced factory.. see below, another examples of sly / inaccurate management comms, I just don’t trust them.. MM’s clearly having a field day ramping this up and offloading abundant stock, should do an about turn at half a quid.

COMPANY PROFILE
Cirtec are more than just another contract manufacturer, Cirtec offers a uniquely comprehensive range of vertically integrated capabilities. We can help your medical device design progress quickly, predictably and cost-effectively through every phase of the development lifecycle.

OUR PURPOSE
At Cirtec, we take the visionary concepts provided by our customers while utilizing our dedicated and highly trained employees to bring their visions to life.
