Shavian,
Correct, No battery licence sales to date...although they do have sales in their original "core" service of fast-track materials discovery, but these alone do not support the shareprice.
There was hope that their battery tech could be of significance but this is evaporating.

Pug,
I don't know of any sell tips but they are not necessary for the chart strongly suggests a target of around 22p.

Based on trading looks like a sell tip out there - Anyone able to advise who has issued and their reasons - thanks in advance.

I'm a newbie here. The tech sounds very promising, but is there any evidence that the company has ever actually sold anything? I don't see any evidence of sales in the annual report - all the revenue still seems to be in grant funding.

And nothing as sordid as a marketing director or sales manager in sight.

Sounds like they need a dose of real-world experience in there

This is really starting to look bad quite a few sells today and nothing from the company as yet to give an indication as to how things are going or indeed not going

Rogk - CS would (imo) have been holding as nominees - That is some 4.25% of the coy changed hands - No way would a MM take onto their books - Looks as though 1st part of an institution ot institution swapsie - Need to wait for the 2nd half.

Most interesting though nothing showing on the day or previous days in trades in anything like trades unless this relates to a CFD or similar but - so far as I can understand the notice - no indication - Back to you.

Does this mean that if he grants himself ten times more, the share price will go up to 340p or down to 3.4p? I can never work it out ☺.

If you really want to know, there's no point asking here - contact the company. I'm told Graeme Purdy is usually pretty helpful.

That's what I was thinking. If Toyota can build a car battery, how could IKA not build a (smaller) phone battery? The tech is shared/identical isn’t it? Am I missing something?

“Yes” to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd question? Pls elaborate. Always happy to be brought up to speed.

It might only be shared in one direction - if Toyota have independently found a way of stacking these batteries, I'm not sure they would be obliged to inform Ilika.

Ilika would benefit in some way, does it not prove ilika's concept?

Rog, if you didn't delete all your posts after a few days then you'd be able to prove that. I was probably ridiculing that rather than what you said. You also appeared to dislike positive remarks then switching to posting them as I suspect on badly timing your dealing, I'm pretty sure you sold at a loss and are now not holding. On announcing a deal the shares would be marked up so much. If you believe strongly in what you invest in timing it before the herd arrives can be very profitable. I have traded this share so that I have a free float but am looking to buy more as i still believe in the story, I just have to decide whether now and how much to commit.
The shares are very cheap if the licensing comes off. The fact you are still here suggests you want to too, if say a deal is announced tomorrow do you think you would get in under 60p? 50 maybe?

This is a useful reminder of where they were a couple of years ago:

Toyota have royalty free rights over everything they've done with IKA, and IKA retain rights to exploit with other customers, including Toyota rivals. However, it appears from the little I've read that other Auto mfrs are ploughing their own furrow in solid state, which is perhaps a reflection of IKA IP strength and value.

hb, excellent, that's very helpful. Hadn't realised that you were at the investor day at their "factory". You might recall me pressing them then on my doubts in relation to series stacking, although my concerns were based upon how they made connections without introducing increased leakage paths. The series connection stack was a key USP, but it may well be possible to come up with a decent engineered solution to larger externally connected cells. Of course they're limited in resource, and maybe the resource isn't always focused in the right direction [that's perhaps unfair, as it's easier to say with hindsight]. Management also needs to be more open, which is a difficulty of being a listed company involved in cutting edge development.
