De La Rue bounced (#DLAR) - over past few days. I had it in my stockchallenge for this month. Not sure why it bounced but traders seemed to like it on Friday and Monday and also to some extent on Tuesday.
Not sure about today.

It is tempting, I'm a contrarian at heart MCAP £90m, funding is not an issue but don't think we'll bounce anytime soon (3 months) min. So many shares have suffered the same fate BOO, THG, DARK, SYNT to name a few but this sales to mcap ratio is madness.

netcurtains why don't you sell up, wait for the market to have the massive correction its probably going to have and stick it in Pearson and some other similar company where demand is more inelastic, defensive and operates in a medium to longterm growth area. It may also provide some excitement! Good excitement.

Of course I would feel bad if this shot up afterwards if you did take my advice

A price to sales ratio of 0.08 is stupid.

Where are the director buys though?

BH: I'd remove the above post if I was you. You should not let people know at what price you are going to close a short. You'll end up causing a rush and a short squeese - (remember GAMESTOP).

Good luck all shorters and longers. Hope everyone does well in their respective time frames.

It would be great if the IC magazine did a follow up from their previous mention for IGR and let us know after their research whether they think its a BUY at these prices (after the not so good trading update).

Going back in "far history" (eg 2014) IC thought it a BUY (high 80s) for recovery. And indeed it did shoot up.

Can same thing happen from here?

That is the gamble

Thanks darrin1471. Yes done some research.
Some interesting things re:

MARKET CAP linked to TURNOVER (from update this is still growing fast and is now a $1 billion plus turnover company).

MARKET CAP linked to NAV
MARKET CAP linked to cash CASH (eg we have apparently about £40m)
MARKET CAP linked to near NETNET (eg remember EVE BEDS and FRENCH CONNECTION )

MASSIVE PERCENTAGE FALLs and what happens NEXT????

MARKET CAP linked to profit warnings. Answer depends if followed by Director BUYS in next few weeks (after dust settles).

To profit in these bounce situations one has to take a risk. Not sure how much of a risk at this level but who knows how far a $1b turnover company can fall before its bought up by management or a rival.

RISK REWARD RATIO??

the ball is in the BULLS court, it really depends what they want to do with it.

netcurtains: Are you able to research historic NAV vs mkt cap and what happened after previous profit warnings.
Any idea where the increase in NAV has come from since 2015
I started reading the old results and advfn posts last night and it appears IGR traded significantly below NAV for several years after 2007

CEO Fineman has a lot to answer for. No shareholding and share price down 90% from high.
