The Directors said in a recent presentation that initial Xmas orders had been cautious but then subsequently they were fulfilling additional incremental orders to customers.

An excellent news story for IGR to finish the year on:-

Greeting card company IG Design Group Americas Inc., plans to fill 300 jobs by May 22 as it expands its Marshall County operations.

The company is investing $57.41 million. The Mississippi Development Authority is providing a $2 million grant for equipment relocation. IG Design Group also qualifies for the Advantage Jobs Rebate Program, which provides a rebate to eligible businesses that create new jobs that exceed the average annual wage of the state or county in which the company locates or expands. Marshall County and the TVA also are assisting with the project.

”IG Design Group’s decision to bring hundreds of new jobs to Marshall County will provide an abundance of opportunities for the area’s workforce, subsequently stimulating the local economy and building stronger communities throughout the region,” Gov. Tate Reeves said. “The state of Mississippi appreciates the IG Design Group team for once again investing in our state – especially during these challenging economic times.”

IG Design Group specializes in celebrations and craft products, including stationery, gift wrap and gift bags, and serves retailers worldwide, from design to distribution. In July, it announced it was locating operations in the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park, initially creating 35 jobs. The company leased a 554,000-square-foot facility developed by Panattoni Development, which was Phase 1 of the project.

For the expansion, which is Phase 2 of the project, the company is leasing a newly built 338,580-square-foot addition. To accommodate future growth, the company has an option to expand the facility by an additional 338,600 square feet. The facility will house the production, warehousing and distribution of IG Design Group’s gift-wrapping products.

“We are very thankful to the Mississippi Development Authority, Marshall County and the Tennessee Valley Authority for the outstanding support provided as we continue to expand our footprint into Mississippi and into such a well-conceived development,” said Gideon Schlessinger, CEO of IG Design Group. “We know that the new facility will provide the long-term access we need to a variety of resources – a strong workforce, a business-friendly environment and superb manufacturing, distribution and logistics.”

For fiscal year 2020 ending March 31, IG Design Group posted $667 million in sales, a 10% increase over FY2019. First quarter sales for FY 2021 were underpinned by a $500 million order, the company said.

Thanks for the thoughts. I looked back and 2 of the 3 who sold yesterday also sold 550,000 shares in June 2019 at £6.04 and by Jan 2020 they were £8. Didn't know CEO had a large trance of option. He has also sold in August 2020 and some time back at well below what the shareprice was to become.

Shows there must be a fantastic management team behind the scenes delivering the strategy. Chairman retiring so makes sense and CEO has a large tranche of options so clearly motivated. Quality company ticks all the boxes with these results.

Been a long term holder all the way up to £8 and back down again. Think CEO has done a great job. Results and debt reduction all looked good - so see a disconnect between what looked positive going forward with fact Chairman and Exec Director selling nearly 400k shares yesterday and CEO selling all his a few months back. Any thoughts?

Bought Value £20.87k

10x as many sells as buys unfortunately. I’m invested here and disappointed by this after the strong set of results and heading to Christmas the most profitable period. Hopefully will pick up towards the end of the week, solid company this.

Another cracking trading update considering the state of the world at this present time. Now lets get back a few of the lost £s we've endured in this share price value. 😡

Nice to see a recovery, of sorts, over the last few days. I do wonder about that huge sale by Mr Fineman which hardly shouts "buy". But who knows what his personal reasons for selling were?Apart from that sale, all looks reasonably solid here, as the recent results demonstrated. I am holding on in the hope of further recovery.

So, was Mr Fineman's sell off down to shrewd timing or possibly a 'little' insider trading to get out of a failing company? Time will tell, but I would hope the former. If the latter, then we all know the consequences. I sold out soon after his offload as this raised too many red flags for my liking. Watching and waiting and 18% better off than had I not sold.
