31/5/2020 12:50 | Efficieny gains from the Impact acquistion still being made:- Wrapping paper-maker consolidates distribution into Mid-South warehouse Wrapping paper has been made in Memphis since the 1950s, though the company's name and ownership keeps changing. The company that was long known as Cleo Inc. became Impact Innovations via an acquisition in 2011 and then, 20 months ago, became part of Design Group Americas — a subsidiary of England-based IG Design — after another sale. While it continues to manufacture more than 1 billion square feet of gift wrap per year at 6269 East Shelby Drive, it is consolidating its warehouse operations to a recently completed Panattoni building in Marshall County. The company took partial occupancy of the building earlier this month, Design Group Americas CEO Gideon Schlessinger said. Design Group rented the new facility because it wanted to consolidate its multiple smaller warehouses in the Memphis area, Schlessinger said. "Memphis is where we make wrapping paper, so that’s where we need a big warehouse," he said. During peak season, Schlessinger said the company expects to hire about 200 warehouse workers — the same as it did last year. | jeff h
27/4/2020 11:51 | Nice rise today, we should be getting the year end trading update this week. | time 2 retire
25/3/2020 19:31 | Doesn't this fall seem a bit of an opportunity to anyone else? This company doesn't make Easter Eggs or sell coffee! Doesn't most of their revenue comes from the Christmas period which is several months away? :) | jbarker5555
19/3/2020 12:54 | From page 14 FY19 results presentation: Top ten customers in order: Walmart, Costco, Target, Action, Aldi, Dollar Tree, Tesco, DM, Lild, TJ Max All part of this companies strategy of only serving strong customers. Many of these are seeing accelerated demand. (Walmart, Costco, Target, Dollar Tree, Tesco I know for a fact, just check online) This company doesn't do business with news agents, card shops etc. The above and the fact that 60% of rev generated for Xmas, when hopefully covid-19 will have peaked, makes me think this fall might be a bit over done. As always DYOR. | ottrott
19/3/2020 11:57 | IG supply Aldi, Tesco, Lidl. US earnings now being boosted by the pound falling against the dollar. | jeff h
19/3/2020 11:17 | in fact as newsagents sell sweets and now wine perhaps they might be allowed to open . Depends on how the law is drafted . If it says supermarkets they will not . | haroldthegreat
19/3/2020 11:14 | the problem is if the government closes all non food outlets eg news agents ,card shops and gift shops the demand for cards will switch to supermarkets and pharmacies who probably do not deal with this company. So sales decline will not be because of a supply problem but a demand problem . their customers will not be trading . the demand for cards will still exist but there will be a drastic shift in where the customer buys them . if Marks have a food department in a store will the whole store be allowed to open ? I hate sending electronic cards but will now do so and apologise to recipient for having done so . Having done it once I might continue doing so . independent card manufacturers will do well who supply pharmacies . | haroldthegreat
19/3/2020 07:46 | Walmart stores are now so busy in US that are having to close between 11pm - 7am to allow restocking and cleaning. Used to be open 24/7. | ottrott
