ok spawny, its a 'no brainer' 😋

NOT for the far reaching and somewhat (IMO) over stretched share price predictions being bandied about but just for the dividend income alone.

I can tell you there's not many places you can park your cash and get a 10.2% (at time of announcement) guaranteed annual return on your invested capital.

OK (I do acknowledge) as the share price increases the 'actual' dividend % will reduce, however if you factor in any share price increase (as capital growth) and the 'potential' for an increase in the previously announced 1.05p per share dividend payment as a result of a continuing increase in sales revenue (POO on upward trajectory) therefore it goes without saying there will be in all probability a correlated increase in FCF, then it really does become a very simple NO BRAINER.

FYI the vast majority (90%) of my shares were bought in the 4's, 5's and low 6's therefore the currently committed 1.05p dividend per share is actually returning (for me) a tad over 20% on my investment to date and that's without adding in the capital growth in overall portfolio value resultant from the rising share price

can I see the share price getting to 40p, who knows, it 'might' with Serenity success and time and POO ever increasing, but even if it only gets to 20p or 25p in the mid term (lets say 2022 year end) 1.05p per share dividend still delivers you 5.25% and 4.20% respectively and that's EXCLUDING any share price capital growth from the current price.

SO in summary its a BIG (no brainer) hold from me (just for those aforementioned dividends) and yes some will of course say that's easy for me to say when my average is circling 5p but even if I was a newcomer and looking in today, I'd be impressed with the current dividend commitment and the 'potential' for share price appreciation whether it be from increased Canadian production and resultant FCF (aided and abetted by 2022 / 2023 POO trajectory) or a Serenity farm out, a Serenity drill success and future production or even (in the event of Serenity success) a Serenity outright sale.

personally I can't really see any immediate (short term) negatives albeit there is always an element of risk with any investment so always always always DYOR.

anyway GL whatever you and others decide to do

I always get nervous when people start with such ambitious short term projections and the "buying x for y" talk as if they're a given! Just waiting for someone to say it's "no brainer"

Jungmana. Exactly, but with rock solid downside protection from the undervaluation of the Canadian assets. Mr Market presenting everyone with a great opportunity to currently buy £1 coins for 50p with material upside thrown in for free…

So we can potentially be seeing 80p valuation within 12 months? That will do for me

Gooddays excellent post below , highlights the tremendous upside here, whilst a material undervaluation remains for our rock solid Canadian assets.

WHI’s latest note has 30p fair value for the Canadian assets. Taking item 3.below, Serenity success on a 50% farm out basis could add c. 50p a share upside, on top on the 30p for Canada. Strikes me as the best risk reward play on AIM.

tonynorstrom1 on LSE & his famous spreadsheet.

Just a couple of notes to go along with the spreadsheet below:

1) Production is based on 20460 boepd - this is approximately what i3e are guiding to ye 2022 - I thinks its likely that i3e will top this based on lower than expected declines and better drilling results.

2) Dividend based on 25% of FCF and in the range of 1.14p to 1.34p. So a nice jump up but not the double or triple that one person on here mentioned. Again I think it could be higher than this based on higher production volumes and also i3e paying out slightly higher than 25% . The dividend could double if they paid out 40% of FCF which has been mentioned previously in one of their presentation or the readmission document but as I think they want to maintain a progressive dividend - my guess is that they stick at something around 25% and pay any excess FCF in the form of a special dividend or buyback.

3) Note also that oil is less than 1/4 of volumes but about half of revenues. Thats why Serenity could be such a monster if it were to come on stream at 30,000 bopd. If you convert the 20460 boepd into the equivalent oil - it comes out to 8939 bopd. If we kept half of serenity at 15,000 bopd for example - that triples current revenues!

Abbot

Sounds like claret is your thing.

I’m nursing the last remains of a case of Lynch Bages and another of Cos d’Estournel. Both 1988’s and victims of sub-optimal* cellaring so way past their best now but still delightful. Think I’ll be waiting for 30p before I open either.

Well doesn't this feel good for a change?Feels like we were right to spot the potential here, right to buy in whilst i3E was flying below the radar, right to hold on when not much seemed to be happening, right to buy more on the dips, right to average up on news and momentum. And now reaping a well earned reward. Having said all that, IMHO the rerating has only just started and has much further to go.
