10/12/2020 08:41 | Our new BOD didn't think twice to issue RNS with very bad news in September, with substantial downgrades of our reserves. Practically, we are now 2 weeks from the end of the year when we were promised another update. I wonder whether the fact that our BOD has still to issue an RNS with their future plans means anything good. Is the well performing better than expected? Since our last update in September, we should have produced around another 1 million boe and so, only c.8.9 million barrels still available. I guess that if that was true, the well's performance would have further deteriorated. My gut feeling is that there is much more oil than that and the well's performance has not deteriorated as expected. The delay could also be related to some current renegotiation of the bonds. In either scenario, I feel that we are due some very positive news soon. AIMO! | sji

10/12/2020 08:15 | ArK87, if you actually think Crystal Amber have a solid record then you are misguided. I suggest you look at this: They are in the 4th Quartile over 1 year, 3 years and 5 years. I would go as far to say as there record makes them uninvestable so they do share something in common with HUR in my opinion. | ngms27
10/12/2020 07:51 | My Chinese proverb for the day: He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever. | ngms27
10/12/2020 06:12 | Morning all, Brent over 49 USD.Thought for the day."The herd instinct among forecasters makes sheep look like independent thinkers."Edgar R. FiedlerHappy Christmas and successful investing | leoneobull
10/12/2020 03:45 | ngms27... What could that disaster be though? Think i will trust the Crystal Amber fund who have a solid track record and have invested millions (now hold 11%) over some random anonymous pi's on a message board. This is what they think: "The Fund finds the conclusions of the technical committee persuasive but not conclusive. Fractured reservoirs commonly exhibit rapid initial pressure decline and we note at Lancaster that the rate of pressure decline has in fact slowed. Moreover, the zone now believed to contain residual oil below the oil water contact is very thick, whereas we would have expected an abrupt change in oil saturation at the free water level. Therefore, the Fund believes that significant volumes of oil may be present below the revised oil water contact at 1,330 metres. Following the publication of the report the shares are trading at little more than option money and the Fund has increased its holding. Despite these uncertainties, the company has stressed there are currently no going concern issues and it has ruled out an equity raise at this time." | ark87

09/12/2020 21:03 | neobull 9 Dec '20 - 20:35 - 21872 of 21872 0 0 0 This could be a 200 to 400m cap company ...Quite easily. | thegreatgeraldo
09/12/2020 20:35 | Precisely. This could be a 200 to 400m cap company and the old school will say it's a disaster but the new boys will say I got in when mkt cap was 40m | leoneobull
09/12/2020 20:33 | That is the irony. There will be some here that have a chance to break even on what was previously significant paper losses and others who have a reasonable chance of making a 400%+ return in the weeks to come. The markets are irrational. Some were bullish and buying when HUR had a MC of £1bn+ in what was a binary bet on the success or failure of the EPS. That was a pure gamble no question about it and a very poor risk reward investment. However a number of months later, the same people who considered it an exceptional investment when the MC was £1bn consider it now a reckless gamble, busted flush etc at £60m MC. Therein lies the beauty of the markets - would you rather be proved right and lose a small fortune or ultimately be proved wrong but bank a 400% return ? It’s all about timing and the rest is noise. Make your own minds up but be very careful of those still posting who have no position yet spend hours of their life on here. They fall into that narcissistic bucket of individuals who would rather be proved right even if it meant losing a small fortune in the process; very dangerous for ones wallet. This is about to get very interesting in my humble opinion ......... | sloppyg |
