Sorry had to break my silence on that comment. It isn't due to a single research paper that I suggest a WI won't work, that's just one piece.1) Yes a paper based on Vietnam FB concluded that WI has no economic benefit when water cut is above 20%2) Pharos from where our new CEO left many months before coming to HUR have started using gas injection as the WI became untenable 3) Adding a WI will provide pressure support but it will also push up the OWC. With a single producer this means more water will be produced affecting what rate of oil can be produced from the well4) Siting a WI isn't straight forward in FB and more so in a complex FB like Lancaster. There is a real possibility that it won't succeed at increasing pressure a Well 65) By the time the WI is drilled and working what will be the production and water cut of well 6? Too little too late?Back to my slumber.

Leoneobull 23 Oct '20 - 07:00 - 20759 of 20761 0 0 I'm not sure why HUR would suggest a 75 million usd WI and that this could allow them to tap additional contingent resources, ..Where have HUR even suggested that? You really should read what the company are telling you...always a good point to start

On point there Leoneobull.......they have stated nothing, only suggested. They could suggest drilling a deviated hole from the North Sea that comes out under Saudi Arabia, it would be a suggestion. Suggestions are just that, some stupid, some mislead, some viable, some impossible. The next update is the one where they will have to : Update the water cut on well 6 (has it increased?) Give a firm plan of intervention, or admit that they still dont know what to do as everything so far discussed wont work and so are still studying (eg keep taking the money and delay delay delay). Thats the 2 key points. Fudge or bad news on either and the selling will increase and 1p levels will be tested. All the talk and bluster between now and when that update is released is just that.......nothing matters what is said on the bulletin boards, the next update is the only thing that matters....and again will likely be a 50% up from 2.5p or a 50% down from 2.5p event.

It is similar to NGMS stating a WI won't work without additional intervention. He could well be absolutely correct, but the evidence posited for this is a single research paper on FB in Vietnam.I'm not sure why HUR would suggest a 75 million usd WI and that this could allow them to tap additional contingent resources, given that AM worked in Vietnam for 15 years? But I'm not an engineer so I will not be able to argue technically on this....

Whitey. " Uninformed". That's a bit harsh. I am well researched on HUR and it's acreage and evolution and disappointments. I'm simply not a reservoir engineer or an engineer. the oil people here and engineers seem to take perverse pleasure in asking technical questions to those outside the industry that only HUR themselves could answer.

Yes, do us a favour TTG and take it up directly. Your motivations are unfathomable. I don't think you are short, more a pedant par excellence. If sbdy posts A, you will immediately post B, the contrarian. Many questions you pose to others, but rarely suggest answers. A pity as you clearly have valuable knowledge.

"CA don't have to justify their views & actions to anyone but their shareholders." Exactly buddy ,you are looking for answers from the uninformed and you are perplexed when you dont get any. Really not sure what your agenda is.

TGG this is all a bit rich ,you are the one that ask`s endless questions and wants answers to impossible questions to any one outside the company,i advised YOU! to take it up with the company on water below the owc, you obviously did not or they chose not to answer a request from an unconnected party . ...If the idea of significant oil below the OWC came from HUR, it would have been in the interims announcement. It wasn't, so the oil below OWC is a CA invention/inspiration. Quite simple, really. I've previously pointed out, CA don't have to justify their views & actions to anyone but their shareholders. Really not sure what your problem is.

All will transpire in good time...in the meantime lets hope Hur generates surpulus, at least breaks even, Well 6 continues to produce and Lanc is being replenished with oil from the wider area. Lets also hope oil prices recover to what Goldman Sachs predict, the corp bond ceases to be so significant...etc. etc. Also if there were just under10.8 m sold and just over 4m shares bought...where have the shares gone...or are the buys and sells more even than the contrived spread disguises. In which case, who is buying, and who is selling? In the meantime be thankful Hur does not have billions of debt, nor is losing every quarter...

Not to mention Foinaven which was the first wos frontier producer 1997, was BP biggest earner in the UK at one time but BP does not appear to promote the information too much as they never were the duty holder

Amyway. this is what the company say, ..."remaining 2P reserves at 1 September 2020 are estimated at 9.4 MMbbls (subject to economic limit test)...." If you don't like it, take it up with HUR. You'll note that what they're calling 2P reserves are quite heavily qualified. Again, take it up with the company.
