13/3/2019 06:59 | We have to rember the future electric. The Chinese and Indians who dream of the first car or bike can be electric. They will be cheap electric cars sd the manufactured are forced to switch. The switch to electric is going to be slow as we search for new battey materials such as graphene. Legislation is there before the technology. The technology is driven by legislation and demand.Oil production is hughely still required and will be more in demand for the chemical industry. The production of foam, plastics, some composites and other newer materials that evolve from oil in it's various states. We have no worries about the demand of Hurricane oil. Not an issue. 50 years from now, who knows! | ![]() soilderboy
13/3/2019 04:43 | Meanwhile oil looks set for anther burst through 70$ soon. Simple fact of the matter is, China and India represent 50% of the worlds population and many of them are still in the process of dreaming of owning a motorbike and then later a car. Demand for oil will continue to surge. What a little 10 million people in the UK do has no effect when 1 billion still aspire to consume lots of lovely oil with motorised transport. Dont worry about Peak Demand for oil.......you should worry about Peak Supply. Are OPEC really just lowering production - or are the Saudi fields now in terminal decline ? Are they letting the US take over short term oil production as they know they have nothing left in the tank to increase and its all downhill from here, so they are slowing down production to maximize the remaining recovery rates....... You will see in due course..... | pro_s2009
