10/11/2017 21:22 | No his letter talks of their corporate governance not being up to standard and that the current board were unwilling to change so he resigned. The agenda now will be for the Nomad to find out if there is an issue and what steps the company might take to resolve the issue if the Nomad believes that strengthening is required. The Aim team will be watching this like a hawk as they are very sensitive to bad publicity in the context of overseas investors. Basically most North Americans see Aim as full of crooks, a clearly unfair view but one that the Aim team are very keen to ensure is untrue. So lots of focus on getting Hurricane up to scratch if there is an issue? All of which is to our benefit. Essentially the end of “Fast and Loose” as some of my North American friends would say! | davidblack
10/11/2017 21:20 | Dire situation but will provide some great trading opportunities next week. Where is the bounce going to be though!?? | kirk 6
10/11/2017 21:11 | ...so is there a material breach, as yet undisclosed, that Dr A is distancing himself from in the event of any action. I am not sure what he has to gain, with an open letter to FT clarifying his positing unless it is one of mitigation. Monday will be interesting as a lot are overweight here (myself included).... | sloppyg

10/11/2017 20:14 | How miffed do you have to be, to walk from such a position as company chairman and then write a letter to the FT spilling your guts ? Not an everyday occurrence for sure The company are hardly out of the traps since the funding debacle and yet the controversy just keeps coming First oil .... don't hold your breath, it appears there is a very long and bumpy road ahead before that happens | jimarilo
10/11/2017 20:13 | Dr A is either emotional or is brave and telling as it is without exposing himself to the legal risks. And still telling all to those who care to do the homework. I guess the second. Otherwise why bother. Will be hard to recruit bod NAMES into the mess without clear support and mandate to drain the swamp. | kaos3
10/11/2017 19:50 | I see this all as positive, very positive in fact once we get over the flighty selling/shorting that will come fora day or so. Maybe not even that as our big buyer may just take the opportunity to collect the volume. The upshot is the Nomad will now have AIM on his back who are likely to make discrete enquiries to Dr A. As for the compliance on the full listings team, they are going to be very careful and look to ensure a full blooded independent Board are in place. So yep good news and Dr A has redeemed himself after the Warrant fiasco. | davidblack

10/11/2017 19:42 | Chute - No need for that kind of language "cnt" It makes you look like much more of one than me. Argue your points good and bad but raise your game (if you can). BH | bloodhound
10/11/2017 19:32 | wheres rentboy gone ? | chutes01
10/11/2017 19:27 | I see Dr A resigning as a positive for the future of Hurricane Energy seeing he could not wait a moment to attack and try and harm the company which shows how unprofessional his action is.This could rise on monday as the possible replacment having the experience to take Hurricane Energy to the next level.I wonder if Simon Thompson who resigned from Tullow would be interested in taking the chairmanship.? | gary38 |
