25/1/2017 11:12 | and if/when they do, they wont actually need all of it in one go, as the capex would be phased, and of course they can farm in or out, part equity issue, and or bonds/debt... but essentially, if, they do go for the Early Production System at Lancaster, the finance requirement would be phased in stages. Its hard to see HUR going it alone for EPS imo, son that basis, a partner would come in and thus the capex/~$400m requirement would be shared in some percentage split... it makes sense to me for BP. to buy it, given the clair field ~45km away north east which looks like the rona ridge for GLA runs up to. once halifax is established in the same way as lancaster and lincoln have been, i think the whole HUR proposition of the GLA will be reflected in terms of value in the SP/MCAP... at present the market seems to be reflecting the success on a 'per asset' basis, but once halifax is done, successfully, then i think the market will value HUR on the basis of the 'GLA', and be massive... | leeson31
25/1/2017 11:02 | 25 Jan '17 - 10:33 - 14245 of 14247 Perhaps Hurricane are going to raise £600 million with a placing at 40p. Then Crystal Amber will be able to buy them back at a lower price. .................... Aside from the fact that HUR aren't going to raise £600m for EPS, they'll be raising around half of that. Assuming they ever get to EPS without a partner. | prefab
25/1/2017 10:47 | Hurricane Energy plc ("Hurricane")During the Quarter, Hurricane released several positive drilling results and raised £70 million to fund drilling an exploration well at Lincoln, to acquire subsea equipment and to fund engineering studies for the Early Production System phase of the Lancaster development.Crystal Amber was pleased to participate in the fundraising, investing a further £10.7 million in line with the Fund's stake in the company at the time of 15.3%. In November 2016, Hurricane was awarded a new licence (Halifax) in its West of Shetland acreage, further expanding the footprint beyond its Lancaster oil asset. Further exploration of this prospect has the potential to not only increase Hurricane's resource base, but also to help determine how far the Lancaster field extends. On 19 December 2016, Hurricane announced very positive interim results at its Lincoln exploration well, adding to its increasingly substantial resource base. Results demonstrated a 660m deep oil column which exceeded the company's expectations and led to the company stating that the pre-drill estimate of 250 million barrels may be conservative. Hurricane's drill rig will now be moved on to drill the Halifax prospect.Recent drilling results reinforce the Fund's view that Hurricane has a significant resource base, potentially in excess of one billion barrels of oil. We expect to see further positive news flow over the coming months, which should serve to de-risk the asset base further and may attract potential partners. Over the quarter, Hurricane's share price increased by 26.8 per cent. | gary38

25/1/2017 09:48 | i dont follow that reasoning. i see it as pure simple selling pressure pushing down share price . since peak high 53.75p the volumes per day are curtailing off..... a lull before news.... id have though if the succession of higher highs and higher lows continues, then it should be about 44p area be putting in a higher low..... if/when halifax comes in, the share price i'd expect would jump again as it has each time its had good news.. | leeson31
25/1/2017 09:39 | So if between the 9th and today they sold 1m and by my rough calcs the total volume in that period has been about 40m, say 20m sells, then they're accounting for about 5% of total sales. If that is enough to affect the sp, it's likely to carry on doing for so for a fair while yet, unless volume really picks up and/or another institution takes it off their hands. | haideralifool
25/1/2017 09:38 | I wonder more who the parties were at 49 when 9m swapped hands. I thought the seller was CA. Obviously not. | brahmsnliszt
25/1/2017 09:37 | did wonder why we never seen that volume of trade...so you can let me off.. lol | zztop
25/1/2017 09:36 | I wonder who has taken the advantage of CA sell off ,is it lots of private investors or one big investor. | gary38
25/1/2017 09:35 | I reckon a farmin partner may help them in the future re trf of some stock , if you look at their other investments they stay for up to 3years till value out, their stock coming back into the market and gone some where we had that 11m disposal last year | laserdisc
25/1/2017 09:32 | Selling 1.2 m in the scheme of things really is small fry and nothing to dwell on imo.It represents less than 1pct of their holding and remain long 156m.Move on. | brahmsnliszt
25/1/2017 09:31 | zz really lol | laserdisc
25/1/2017 09:29 | I make it 1 million. They had 157m on the 9th Jan and 156m now. | haideralifool
25/1/2017 09:27 | Dr Robert Trice, CEO of Hurricane, commented:"I am delighted that, at the end of an extraordinary year for Hurricane, the Lincoln Well has discovered a significant oil column outside structural closure on our Greater Lancaster Area acreage. Our initial assessment of the drilling results will be subject to refinement by analysis of wireline and sidewall core data, however, current analysis indicates that our pre-drill resource assessments - which were constrained by the oil down to in the Arco Well - of approximately 250 million barrels of recoverable oil for the Lincoln prospect may be conservative.I look forward to Hurricane's imminent operations on the hugely important Halifax well and to simultaneously progressing towards the sanction of the Lancaster Early Production System in H1 2017."Nearly a third way through HI already. | gary38

25/1/2017 09:20 | they have manage their holding in hur, comes a point in future when the warrants they hold in hur will be exercised | laserdisc
25/1/2017 09:13 | CA still selling down , what % they want to get to l dont know but the good news is those shares have been brought up.CA needs money to pay their investors and their overheads and using HUR for that as they know of all their investments Hurricane Energy is the only one that can take that hit without the share price dropping that much. | gary38

24/1/2017 17:51 | the licences were split to facilitate a farmout ,most likely a farm down of a portion of hurricane & then farmin partner can carry out the production side of things, I believe value here if you are prepared to wait for things to unfold, I bought my last lot at 47p no more for me now as I am overweight, I am now preserving some cash just in case they give shareholders another bite at an open offer | laserdisc |
