Must have some detrimental effect on HUR getting a deal.

On my reckoning Kerogen have paid less than 19p/share for their 30% holding so their interests and potential motivations are not exactly aligned with most other holders'. It doesn't follow they will sell out cheaply of course but what they decide will have a huge bearing on what happens next. They will also have, I would think, a significant say on the capital structure for the business i.e. the split between debt, equity and a percentage farmout.

I would be surprised if Hurricane borrow more than 25% of the required $400m but that would still leave $300m to be raised through a partner or equity issue. How much dilution we have to accept is very much dependent on the result of the Halifax drill. Robert Trice has been making noises about a connected field long before the Lancaster 7 wells and seems convinced on that possibility. I'm happy to share in his optimism.

I hope an early takeover is avoided but our fate lies with CA and K.

I suspect most of us are just being optimistic. However on another board a geologist of sorts is pretty convinced this drill result will confirm good news.

The doc has studied the seismics so he must also be optimistic about the outcome. In the meantime HUR is sitting on so much oil I agree with ngms that we will not be allowed to develop. IMO a takeover awaits within the coming months.

I thought the poll was quite useful in the respect mentioned jacks ;).Anyway, I am invested like it's the case, and relieved that even if it's not, things are pretty promising for future gains.Back to 'work'.

Hi enfranglais,

Not sure you're right re the 'glass half empty' description. I know ngms27 from other BBs and he is very knowledgeable.....but can swing between being positive about a co and being negative. Of course, depending on your own point of view, one or other of those moods is likely to strike you as 'contrarian'.

Let's hope he's right re HUR when he's in his "positive" phase !

Just for a bit of fun but it would be very interesting to know.

How many of you think we're looking at one huge connected field here?

Rec up for Yes / Down for No.

It's a Yes from me.

ngms I agree ,but more field data will be required ,I raised something a bit back regarding all the subsea equipment ie flow lines etc ,have they been bespoke built or will they be to "others" parameters ie selling an asset that would be both compliant to asset manager and standard industry standards

My view is that the industry will now say you don't need to prove it any further given the vast quantities of oil now proven to be in place.

I maintain that HUR will never produce from an EPS on Lancaster.

"And he knows the industry response to that would be "prove it". Hence the importance of the EPS."

That's what we're doing isn't it?
