The early production system will primarily deliver "Economic Independence" for the Company.

The fact that by 2019 the Company will be able to "Self Fund" will mean that any perspective bidder will have to pay "Top Dollar" for this Company in the event of a takeover.

Dr. Trice made it clear that the EPS was intended to both provide income and to evaluate the reservoir characteristics under production conditions. These are important steps if Hurricane do decide, or feel compelled, to take this to the FFD stage. The third, less public objective which he later indirectly pointed to, is that a funded EPS strategy maintains the Boards ongoing control and demonstrates to would-be farminees that they can go it alone if necessary. If the right offer emerges it might be that a new operator takes it to FFD with or without an EPS phase.

I was once told by one of the UK's top investors that to make real money find a share with huge potential and each time the company releases positive news buy more.I have applied this advice to Hur so let's see if he's right! LT

I did not know about the 20,000b/d restriction...............

Having too much oil is the best possible problem an oil company can have, was the caveat to WH Ireland’s quite thin criticism of Hurricane Energy Plc (LON:HUR).
In a quick note following the completion of Hurricane’s successful testing programme at the Lancaster oil field which has set the North Sea oiler on track to pursue the development of an early production system.
The two well programme far exceeded market expectations; with the first well setting a large upgrade to the field’s resources (which may possibly be as big as 500mln barrels according to toms estimates), while a flow test on the second well reached the maximum limits of the testing equipment, measuring a rate of 14,500 bopd.
Hurricane completes Lancaster test, exploration drilling next on agenda
WH Ireland analyst Brendan Long also noted that one indicator reported by Hurricane – the well’s ‘productivity index’ or PI – was “extremely high” at 147 barrels per day, per pound per square inch (that’s ‘147 b/p per psi’) and he explained that this meant there remained “considerable scope” to get more oil from the well.
It was such a positive result that WH Ireland analyst Brendan Long now doubts the value of an early production system, because he doesn’t think too much extra information can be gleaned.
“We note that in the absence of facility constraints the wells should be able to be produced very aggressively without causing reservoir damage given the very low oil water contact (only a minimal depth is known), the robust (hard rock) nature of the reservoir and the extremely high permeability of the reservoir’s natural fractures.
“It is a shame the Early Production System (EPS) will be limited at 20,000 b/d due to flaring restrictions, but we note too much oil is the best possible problem an oil company can have,” the analyst said in a note.
“From an informational perspective, we do not see much gain in the EPS strategy.”

He will be gone soon.It hasn't stopped me from buying along with the institutions.More important to pay attention to company releases such as today's PI ( productivity index).I'm in till the company is bought out for a value based on its assets.LT

But not finished with this year because of still got the opening of the data room.Temporarily suspended farmout discussions in June 2016 until completion of the Lancaster 7 Wells and subsequent analysis - expect to re-open data room by end of year

We will now be progressing a new Competent Person's Report (CPR) which will incorporate data gathered from this year's drilling campaign. The CPR publication date is targeted for 1H 2017 to coincide with approval of the Company's field development plan for the Lancaster EPS."All positive going into next year.

I have been invested in Hur for around 18 months and have taken advantage of the seller by filling my boots with stock! He will be gone eventually and a more realistic share price will prevail.LT

"Markets don`t do `a bit embarrassing`"

No, agreed. But certain interested parties might do 'a bit embarrassing'.

Like LT , I will elaborate no further on a public bulletin board.

LFDKMP,

Markets don`t do `a bit embarrassing`...Also why do folk get so upset when someone is selling- They can`t believe that the share they own is being sold? No, it`s the simplest explanations that are normally right...IMO.

This quadrupled from earlier in the year and someone is profit taking. Good for them. It was happening before the OO and placing too- Who are the large holders here? Artemis? IMO it`s whomever drove it up from c11p...

Leeson, I agree entirely with you.I to have taken advantage of the seller by buying more. After all the company is valued on its assets and not its share price.Eventually the seller will be gone and a more realistic valuation of the company will be established.I am looking for an share price of £2-3 in a couple of years but suspect it might not be around that long.LT
