01/4/2018 13:03 | Zztop ,think of the funding for the EPS ie new shares , think of warrants etc . I may have inadvertently been flippant but ,crux being we are a firm of a certain mcap with no income ie production ! Then with a new vessel , crew , reservoir lots of possibilities . Our Shareprice is now less than the recent funding / placing and so far we’ve spent £millions , can you imagine if we have to go cap in hand to the market ? Do you actually think that if this doesn’t go to plan and the market reacts accordingly Whirlwind etc will ever be even considered? | gibso6767
01/4/2018 12:57 | Has anyone told Dr trice he's only got a one trick pony on his hands? | zztop
01/4/2018 12:57 | However the implications if the EPS goes out of predicted timeframes , more cash needed or finally if it doesn’t work ( cannot see why not though as it has for years elsewhere I'd agree that is the biggest risk. And I'm optimistic on the likely outcome. However, unfortunately I can see why it might not work! Until they do some serious long term production from the reservoir they won't know for sure how it's going to behave, what sort of recovery they can achieve, how many wells they'll need etc. The initial flow rates from the two wells they will be producing from were good, and that is obviously very encouraging, but long term production will test communication over much wider volumes of the field. Until they do it the levels of communication remain unconfirmed. Sure there is data from seismic, short term flows etc, all of which is good, but there is a reason why HUR still exists, or at least they are still operator of Lancaster et al, and it's not simply terminal excess caution from the majors. 01/4/2018 12:44 | Re my comment ‘One Trick Pony ‘ for want of a better expression. However the implications if the EPS goes out of predicted timeframes , more cash needed or finally if it doesn’t work ( cannot see why not though as it has for years elsewhere and physics is physics ). The implications of any of these or more would be quiet severe if not disastrous. Forget Whirlwind , it’s the EPS that will define whether we survive or not . Pretty certain I may ruffle a few feathers , I’m a massive holder in HUR but not oblivious to any downfalls. So what news do we envisage within the month of April | gibso6767
31/3/2018 21:31 | Of course the boulder clearance was RNS worthy, it's essential. Operationally we're on track and keep moving forward. Fingers crossed for benign weather April, May and June WOS then things could really accelerate. | prefab
31/3/2018 19:04 | As progress is made towards first oil, it seems to me that in the absence of other good or bad progress reports, the share price is, and will continue to be driven by the oil price. As there is a significant chance of this moving higher and closer to $100/barrel then I think we will see a stead gain in the share price. I feel confident with my investment here. | bocase
30/3/2018 16:08 | How significant is the WoS discovery in relation to U.K. GDP and previous operations since the 70s in the North Sea that peaked in 1998 please? | steptoes yard
30/3/2018 15:45 | GLA is several tricks. The whole purpose of EPS is to convince the industry that FB works WoS. IF it works then the farm out or sale is a done deal for full field development. Then the 2.6bn contingent resources rapidly move from 2C to 2P. Game over. | chopsy
30/3/2018 14:57 | I would be far more worried if the rns read "2million unseen costs to remove excess boulders" Slowly slowly catchy oil.Happy Easter all | telbap
30/3/2018 09:57 | HUR currently are a one trick pony ie Lancaster EPS , apart from the search for a new CEO and the Curve Ball of a farm out or similar , all our cash , personnel are on this MASSIVELY IMPORTANT PROJECT. So yes a firm is obliged to give Interims etc and Operational Updates That are price sensitive, and the simple fact that every operation they do is aiming towards FOIL then I like these updates . To me it’s painting a picture that at this particular time we are on time with intimated FOIL of 2019 ! Personally whether it’s deemed RNSable or not I’d prefer an end of month update on Lancaster EPS updates | gibso6767
29/3/2018 22:57 | That's fine. So what's the point you're trying to make? | backinblack80
29/3/2018 20:34 | This was specially referred to in the operations update in September 17 after the fundraising. Pretty sure it was discussed during the we cast around the same time. All seems to be on schedule / ahead of schedule | badday
29/3/2018 20:05 | I think in some ways it is a reminder of risk maybe not considered; how many even knew this was going on behind the scenes. One thing for sure is that if further work had been required we would have no doubt have witnessed a mark down of c.10%. It's the nature of the beast that we appear to need countless positive RNS just to maintain the status quo......hence why we are where we are as there is always risk whether considered or unconsidered...... | sloppyg
29/3/2018 13:54 | HUR used as a comparator in this analysis: | steelwatch
29/3/2018 13:03 | Positive RNS from HUR today, greeted with a .38p price drop. It's a funny old game St. BH | bloodhound
29/3/2018 10:42 | First Q1 of 2018 almost gone.Time is flying past and before you know it we will be pumping out the black gold which will be good for shareholders and the UK energy security. | gary38
29/3/2018 08:56 | Are you sure that's not just a pic of one of those "pick up a teddy bear" games in an arcade? :-) Same principals apply I suppose. Peter | greyingsurfer
29/3/2018 08:42 | Great news. Well done Hurricane Energy team.Drip drip drip and the bucket fills up. | gary38

29/3/2018 07:58 | First oil by end 2018 weather permitting ?? Seems a good chance ! | kooba
29/3/2018 07:37 | Sounds as though it accelerates oil to market date. Can't be bad! | ayl30 |
