11/10/2019 07:33 | Disagree about Brexit, agree that UK will break up. Scotland is unsure, but eventually Ireland will reunite. And Korea. Maybe even Cyprus. Probably not Carolina though. | zangdook
11/10/2019 07:27 | Agree that Brexit will happen but the break up of the UK claim is just wishful thinking . | dwinn78
10/10/2019 11:10 | montyhedge Brexit will happen and it will lead to the breakup of the UK within a few years or so. Some people will welcome it, others will hate it. It will happen eventually and Brexit will be the cause. Liz will still be Queen of England. The stockmarket will still move up and down and I will probably still be holding my HSBC shares. | daijavu
07/10/2019 09:04 | I want to stay in the EU, and I've never met George Soros? Perhaps Jo Swinson feels the same way? | alex1621
05/10/2019 18:50 | maxidi your information about Swinson's husband should be made public knowledge. Contact the Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph - they will love it | ukneonboy
05/10/2019 13:27 | Interesting. Our eagle-eyed Current Affairs Correspondent, Oliver Down exposed the other day that Jo Swinson’s Husband Duncan Hames works for an organisation called Transparancy International which is an ‘anti-corrupti Now the team have also done a forensic analysis of their accounts and can reveal that they also receive money from ‘Open Society’ which is funded by none other than George Soros. They openly publish this on their website but the main issue we have is that surely Jo Swinson and her husband have a financial interest in staying in the EU. Why is she not questioned on it by the media, why does she not have to declare an interest yet Boris is slammed for the silliest little things? The hypocrisy and treachery of the media knows no bounds. | maxidi
04/10/2019 12:50 | Protestors on the streets of Hong Kong shouldn't unduly affect HSBC shares - they (HSBC Banking Group) are not protesting !!! HSBC shares are actually a great play on BREXIT, if the GB Pound falls in value (after 31st Oct), the HSBC US $ dividend payments will be worth more to UK investors when converted into Sterling | ukneonboy

01/9/2019 13:50 | I'd be very wary about seeing value in HSBC atm, nobody knows how the disagreements between the US and China are going to play out. The point of view that good sense will prevail all round, doesn't take account of the need to curb China's excesses: Xi is behaving worse, or at least as bad, albeit differently, than Mao. The HK protests aren't just about Lam's unwillingness to cancel the controversial legislation, it's more to do with the creeping removal of democracy as Honkers have known it, they really don't want to end up like mainland China. That's just locally, globally Xi is spreading China's influence. I'll leave it to others to consider how things could look in say 10 years time. It could be said that why should China not become more powerful than the US? Reckon I'd rather have a powerful democracy than a powerful dictatorship calling the shots. Could be that we'll see a trade agreement in September, but my money's on the power-play continuing to be disruptive - BA. anyone? Anyway, as said, how this plays out is anybody's guess. | poikka
