My dividend has not appeared either. Inquiring today at Barclays I was told that the problem was with HSBA, that they had not distributed the dividend and everyone was affected. Clearly nonsense given that others have been paid. I was given no timeframe for when the dividend will be paid... Unbelievably poor!

Mine straight into HL on 22/11. Didn't I read somewhere that Barclays have been having problems since they changed their platform?

Thanks. I was trying to imagine what J.A.W. or maybe J.A.W.S. could have stood for (apart from films about sharks). With that definition, I can see that you'd want a positive jaws ratio.

JAWS Ratio= income Growth rate - expenses growth rate (as a %)

Positive % = good news as growth rate increasing above expenses
Negative % = the opposite

One assumes therefore that in HSBC's case with a negative JAWS % of 1.3% expenses are increasing faster than income growth as a %

Looked it up on Wikipedia as it was a terminology unknown to myself as well.

What is "adjusted jaws" ???? From yesterday's trading statement (called "Earnings Release")

Adjusted jaws for 9M17 was negative 1.3%.

Arf Dysg, fair enough, was just trying to get the logic behind that day. Suppose there wasn't any.

Still here we are XD price drop recovered (for now) and buy backs still happening. Currently holding tight and happy with the price direction - not really a share I trade, more a buy and hold for me.

Funny day, BLACKROCK increase their holding and Credit Suisse saying £6.50p.

Well I'm holding as this is part of my long term income holding, plus as interest rates go up will be better margins/profitability, so hopefully increased dividends in due course.
