22/3/2021 13:02 | Frankly I do not care too much which route the Co takes. This is just speculative chatter on my part , but wondering if V is 100% certain to go down the HPAL route | jailbird
22/3/2021 12:45 | There seems to be a lot of scepticism of HZM's cost estimates for HPAL anyway. But what would be the alternative? Any metallurgists here? If they take the SS route, can they still monetize the Cobalt? I don't know, just asking. From what I've read HPAL offers synergistic routes to separation of Nickel and Cobalt. | swanvesta
22/3/2021 11:18 | Well my 2p worth is too build Vermelho as a SS operation. Let someone else build an expensive high maintenance EV focused mine. Who knows what new tech will be around in 5-10yrs for Battery configuration or mining of nickel. SS is in demand now and as you say JB, if the Chinese or whom ever goes the Matte route they will just be taking supply away from SS stock. Thanks for the video link Salmonn. | uapatel
22/3/2021 11:07 | And I agree there is no value being attributed to V in the market cap yet | jailbird
22/3/2021 11:07 | Thanks for the video SalmonnSo what do you guys think V will be used for , Stainless steel or EV? Both options are always on the table HPAL is not getting a good reviews , and it requires higher Nickel prices than stainless plants The thing about that video, it tells me that nickel matte production if it takes off further , will only reduce the supply used for stainless steel | jailbird
22/3/2021 10:23 | craigieboy1, it also makes me think that is why HZM's share price did not fall significantly on the Tsingshan announcement, because there is no value in a Vermelho HPAL priced in as yet. | salmonn1
22/3/2021 08:00 | That’s an interesting video, confirms our thinking on short, medium and long term Nickel pricing. | craigieboy1
20/3/2021 22:37 | I never sold out. | excellance
20/3/2021 21:26 | i see you've bought back in again excellance - so transparent. | wooster4
20/3/2021 16:21 | Isn't there an industry standard formula? | excellance
20/3/2021 15:43 | I expect they will use current prices, and expect discount from that price. Price projections are meaningless. | cockneytrader
20/3/2021 15:21 | They will use projections for 2023 onwards, not current prices or prices given by HZM. Of course they'll want a discount but that's life. Jezza and stakeholders want certainty, and offtake agreements provide that. | excellance
20/3/2021 13:06 | Offtake is starting to concern me. Put yourself in the position of the offtaker. The price of nickel has been going down. So it's natural I want a discount, say $14,000 per tonne. If hzm want an upfront payment I would want an even steeper discount, say $10,000 per tonne. I also don't need the nickel anytime soon and want the best deal. I can use further leverage because I don't have a timeline, but hzm have insisted a deal by the end of March. | cockneytrader
20/3/2021 10:57 | a little arrogant to have your say then tell people not to have theirs | stansmith3
20/3/2021 10:34 | So it's ok for you to have the last word then excellence! No more Covid from me, except this and I've gone; say 130K people died with covid in the UK, take out those that died without covid being the MAJOR contributor to their death and you MAY reach 100K. Johnson said when the first LD was introduced that a impact study has shown that 200K lives will be lost due to the coming recession due to the LD. In October The University of Bristol brought out another impact study based on the ongoing restrictions and came up with 560K deaths due to the coming recession. On top of that we have possibly 15K lives lost in the last 12 months due to inadequate medical services being available due to the LD. And you purport that LD is good for the nations health? Fin! | fireplace22
20/3/2021 10:17 | I'm an ex development chemist, to get to the answer to a problem you come up with a theory, you do the experiment if it gives you the answer you expect the theory is probably correct. That's science. Lockdown was an experiment which plainly did not give the result expected hence the theory was incorrect or the experiment not carried out correctly. Possibly the virus was so virulent that the minimal personal contact that did occur in shops, nurseries and among people still in work was enough to give us the up to 50% infection rate we ended up with? I agree a total lockdown would have stopped the virus in its tracks but how would we have survived without food, medicine, water even because that's what would have been necessary. But then again it would only return when the LD was lifted. There is no doubt whatsoever that the Lockdown as actioned, definitely did not work and we have the worst mortality rate and up to a £700B bill as proof. | fireplace22
20/3/2021 07:15 | how does anyone - with a brain - come to the conclusion that a virus spread by contact is not hugely thwarted by lockdowns? | stansmith3
20/3/2021 01:29 | Free summary report on VW Power day, well worth a read. | craigieboy1
19/3/2021 18:04 | VW have factories in Brazil. | excellance
19/3/2021 16:48 | At LSE offtake , off chance? Everyone talks about Tesla...but made a goint point, I will take VW anyday | jailbird
19/3/2021 14:47 | does anyone have a dialogue with JM? Is he communicative or not? | mesb48
19/3/2021 14:07 | Regardless of covid, HZM looks more solid today, presumably in anticipation of an offtake agreement. | excellance |
